Loving the numbers for SP and Velvet! Would love to see them climb even higher! BTW, I have written in my handy AFL pocket calendar that the week of Oct. 7 is "HAC radio" impact week for SP. Is that correct? I must have heard that somewhere. Seems like SP is doing well and even picking up steam in some areas. Rami Malek was on Colbert last night. He was promoting a new movie. They talked briefly about the Global Citizen show. (Jon Batiste performed there also. He's Colbert's music guy.) Rami mentioned introducing Queen at the show and hanging out with them a bit. He praised them, of course, but no separate mention of Adam. Just "Queen." I am always dismayed when Rami doesn't mention Adam when he is asked about "Queen". But then he played Freddie in the film, not Adam, and his support before and during the film came from Brian and Roger. I think he feels that Adam is an adjunct to Queen and his involvement is with Brian and Roger, not Adam. Still think when he talks about going on stage at a performance, it is only appropriate that he would mention how Adam must feel when he comes out. After all, Adam is allowing Rami to get the glory by enabling Queen to perform. Actors tend to be self-centered, no matter how "nice" they may appear. Adam is one-of-a-kind when it comes to praising others. He is an unusually generous, kind, thoughtful and empathetic human being.
Adam gave Rami a lot of support too. He mentioned him in almost every interview (when he talked about the movie) and how he thought he was perfect to play Freddie. But for me, I loved Rami as Freddie but other than that I don't follow his career. So it does not matter to me if he mentions Adam or not. His only involvement with Queen was to do Freddie justice and he did. But I'm glad the press and most tv people do acknowledge that Adam is the frontman for Queen and doing a great job. Rami may not want them comparing him to Adam or using his promo time to talk about Adam. Adam is one of the rare artists who spends a lot of his interview/promo time talking about others. Sometimes I wish he would be a little more selfish and self centered with the little time he has to promote himself, lol. He talks a lot about Freddie. He gives praise and brings up other LGBT artists who are doing well today and getting a lot of press. But I'm not sure that they talk about him at all in their interviews. Thankfully tho he no longer brings up Madonna or Gaga even if others do. HA. Adam is a very interesting and charismatic man and I check out his interviews to hear about him and what he is doing or wants to do.

Dancy, sorry to be a nag, do we have the entire QAL set from Global on You Tube. Then I can stream it to my TV and send it to my friends! Thanks.

I’m not bothered by Rami not mentioning Adam’s name every time he appears somewhere. After all, he’s there to promote his roles. I see complaints that Adam promotes other people too often at his expense, but I think he only mentioned Rami’s QAL intro in interviews only when it was talked about. Probably if the interviewer mentioned Adam to Rami, he’d say something.

Why complaints that Adam promotes other people? It's not like folks have one vote and if Adam promotes someone else, he loses the one vote to them. It's not like Adam is putting himself down by praising or promoting others. He doesn't lose anything. But, he often wins goodwill from fans of the others, from the artists themselves and from the industry at large that recognizes what a nice and decent guy he is. An all around win.

Why jump to OTT criticism when others voice an opinion? No one said Adam should not promote other people. No one said that. I only said I wish he would be more self centered and not spend so much time talking about others. He does not get a lot of promo time and I would rather hear more about Velvet and his songs, falsetto and all, but that is just my view, lol. But he will do and say what he wants just like he sings the way he wants. Doesn't stop anyone from complaining tho.
