So what’s everyone fav from Velvet so far? Mines Stranger you are. Just so different. The hook gets stuck in my head. I wouldn’t mind it as a radio single. Mine changes every time I listen. Overglow and Stranger You Are do get stuck in my head. And Closer to You. But I like them all. Good, complex songs.

First time I've ever liked EVERY song on a release, but my fave is Stranger You Are. What a great mix of musical genre ... there's a raw energy about it.

So is the 5,920 sales number just the number of downloads of the EP and not including the physical CDs that were bought?

My Velvet Faves
Superpower Closer To You Stranger You Are READY TO RUN is really good, IMO! Bluesy and sexy, as I've said before. I know it doesn't come up here much on the Fan Faves lists, but I love it.
Loverboy and Overglow aren't grabbing me much. They kind of wander around without enough of a hook. But that's just me. I love how we are all drawn to different songs in our own way!
I see SP and Velvet doing well in various ways, iTunes, etc. I realize real radio play is a different animal. Hope SP gets some play in the US.

Bottom line, I assume Adam is making some money on Velvet.
Interesting that he said in that one interview that it's likely he will sing one of his own songs on the next QAL tours. I assume SP would be the first choice. Hope it happens!

Off topic, but Adam sure understands his 70s pop culture references (or maybe the photographer does). Adam is not in this, probably because he wasn't born yet, but his chair is How this chair became a pop culture icon A lot of celebrity butts sat in the peacock wicker chair.

I assume SP would be the first choice. Hope it happens! I don't think making money on the album sales has been an issue for Adam probably since the first album. And I'm not even sure if he made much from that either. But you wanted to keep good numbers to keep your label deal. That is not a problem for him now. I'm sure he was not expecting large sales as an indie. But I think Velvet has given him enough publicity to help him with his touring. The CD's being available would have helped some I'm sure but maybe not that much. I bought 3 physical CD's from Amazon just to help with the numbers. Then later they changed the ship date, lol. But I have a few people I plan to give them to anyway. Most indie Idols don't even make the Billboard 200 but it seems he will. Fingers crossed.
