Hmm... I am struggling a bit when it comes to the question of who owes who how much in terms of fan/artist relationship. Adam's infinity tattoo comes to mind that he blacked out later on and the phrase "entitlement is not sexy". Does Adam expect us to support his music? I strongly assume so, as he asks us to buy, stream, and share his new music. No problem, I happily oblige. After all, I feel I "owe him" after a decade of great moments and more to look forward to. You are right, we waited a long time for "Velvet" and we should celebrate it. We were all very excited about the promo appearances, and some fans even made arrangements to be there for the tapings in person. So...is it really too much to expect or at least wish we hear from him after four cancellations? I think a few words or at least something would be a nice gesture to keep his fans engaged and make them feel appreciated, and that can be done without going into details. We already know from 2 inside sources that Adam cancelled due to illness. What more do we need to know about it? Why do we have to have a conformation from Adam himself? If Adam were to go on Twitter and announce that he had to cancel 4 promo events because he was sick, it would be picked up by all the usual news outlets and made into a news story. Do we really want that story to over shadow all the good press about Velvet Side A? It could do more harm to Adam's promo of Velvet than Adam cancelling promo events and not saying anything about being ill. Of course! Why didn't I think of that? The press jumps on every little thing that Adam tweets or says in interviews. I roll my eyes regularly at the coverage. They would be all over the story of how Adam is gravely ill, on death's door, and had to cancel his shows. Or, that Adam is a prima donna and, one little sniffle and he cancels commitments he has made. Best to stay quiet about it.

I believe that there are ways to say things without making a twitter announcement. Alright, I'm done with this topic for now.

I read alot of frustration on here today. What the heck, I will throw out my two cents. Adam isn't stupid, he knows the music game and he CHOSE to do it this way, Indie and music he wanted to create. I don't think how popular it is with the "business" is important to him. The music has been met with very positive reviews, we ought to be pleased with that. Adam doesn't need to have it make big bucks. I prefer to enjoy this release and not dwell on whether the music takes off or not. We waited a long time to hear new music. As to Adam owing fans an explanation for the missed tv appearances, why? If he were quite ill perhaps, but it isn't my business to know why he cancelled. Adam doesn't need to share everything with us, we aren't his family or his friends, we are fans. JMHO. 👍

Not sure if in this case it's entitlement to want, expect, wish for some kind of heads up from Adam. I think there are situations and topics, where this would apply more imo. Also Not sure if Adam has the clout like jb or Celine, that the media will pick up every hickup. Gotta agree with sizzling63 that there'd be a way to let fans know what's Up. Other stars do it too. But whatever. We don't have to agree. In any case i'll be enjoying the performances, when they happen. 😁

A little "Hi" and a sign of gratitude would likely help strengthen and solidify his fanbase, which he has clearly counted on. I am saying this as I am gathering that Adam isn't severely ill.
