I hate to admit it i agree with PH.  No tomatoes from me. I agree with you. Not quite sure why Adam jumped into that twitter discussion, but I believe PH is right. And I think he had Adam scrambling to check his facts. Like him or not, I agree with PH this time. 8-) |

Perez was very cruel, his usual self. I think also that Adam jumped in, because of what Perez said about being a pop star and age. And it was an opportunity to mock Perez which he succeded. |

I don't think he succeeded in mocking PH. I think it made Adam look kinda bad for jumping to conclusions.
Anyway, don't mind me - guess I'm still feeling bitchy and annoyed about the dwindling hair on Adam's head. Almost afraid to see any more photos. He didn't even look like Adam to me and it scares me. Sauli looked so hot and Adam so not. I am used to the reverse.
Perhaps I should absent myself for a few days cause I will just get on people's nerves for not defending Adam this time and for speaking my mind.
Guess my stanning hit a bump in the road. I didn't know I was so shallow that a shaved head would affect me this much. I need to step back and regroup I guess.

I think the "fact checking" is a direct jab at Perez over cupcake-gate. PH spread crap that wasn't fact in that whole mess (ie "gate-crashed the party") Whether or not Perez is correct about someone being "too old" for pop, there isn't any reason at all he had to tweet that comment directly to Stacy. Go ahead and post it on your site where she may or may not see it, but sending it direct to her was rude. Yes, PH can have his opinions, but telling someone directly they should give up their dream because they are too old is just nasty.
I don't think Adam's reference to Adele had to do with age, but just that she also isn't your "typical" pop star (in looks or type of voice) but has managed to become one due to her talent.
ETA: I so totally do NOT get the angst over Adam's hair. It's hair, it will grow - he has never kept a single style for years and years so it isn't like this is permanent. It isn't really my favorite of all his varied looks, but I'm pretty sure it could be far, far worse! Really not sure why looking "young" is bad - he is about to launch a single and we WANT the "young" demographic to like him - if he looks 30 are the 14 year olds going to "fall in love" with him? It's not like this cut has him looking like a child - more like early 20's to me.

Perez is a known asshole. he's mean and nasty and only seemingly likes people who fit into nice neat little boxes of what HE deems worthy. I was surprised to learn he supported Adele way back in the day before she blew up simply because she's "fat" and Perez only seems to like cookie cutter artists (or Gaga).
Perez' reputations preceeds him and just because he's trying to be more diplomatic doesn't mean people forget what a jerk he's been in the past.
Also, it's not HIS place to tell Stacy Francis what type of artist she can be. and the fact that he thinks Simone is a "pop" artist speaks volumes about his taste level. He cares about presentation not talent, much like Simon.
