I really love that Jake Spears is so enthusiastic about Adam as a kisser in the video upthread. I always thought he seemed to be genuinely a little flustered talking about it, LOL.

I dislike Perez immensely and this is not meant to defend him. However, he is not the onyl one trying to blow the lid off the backstory of Stacy Francis. She is being portrayed as someone who was in an abusive marriage her whole life and just suddenly broke free and is only now getting to give the world the music that has been "dying inside of her." :  Those words have come out of her own mouth so it's not producer manipulation. In reality, she was in a semi successful girl group, had numerous big parts on Broadway, and has been married 3 times. One of those times to a Doctor who particpates in the childcare of their daughter. Although, Stacy makes it sound like she is all alone raising her children. So..... that is a litttle background on Stacy Francis and X Factor. With that being said, though, I really want Adam to tweet Perez and tell him to "check his facts" and that he has never met Stacy Francis. ;D ETA: She was never a marginal contestant. She has been highlighted since her first auditions and everyone assumed she was a favorite. She is not in the same category as Simone. So Simone making it or not would not have affected Stacy in at all. I totally get that Perez is not the only one who wants to blow the lid of Stacy. And I don't think she was ever a marginal contestant. She has definitely been pimped and so has her backstory – I wouldn't dispute that for a minute. But so much to warrant this? I don't think so. Especially when the comments out of her mouth, THOUGH QUESTIONABLE, are not any more heinous than the vast majority of talent show competition contestants. Do I think she's played the role they were hoping she'd play? Yes. Do I think she deliberately lied? Not necessarily. Again, producers have total control here. They might have spent two days following her around, yet they edited down to a few minutes. Not saying she's not complicit at this point, it's just too early to tell. Exactly! Stacy is not a favorite of mine in any way, but I think we need to remember that we see what TPTB decide to show us. Supposedly, Stacy told the judges (in front of the audience at her try-out) she had done a couple of Broadway shows. For all we know, she could have told the producers her whole life story, but they chose to show the two minutes about her being in a verbally abusive marriage in the past on TV. : |

About Perez. After the Gaga bd-party he tweeted Adam this Adele song. I think it was creepy in a strange way. It´s a Bob Dylan song with beautiful lyrics. I wonder why he tweeted this to Adam right after he tried to scandalise him : "Adam was embarresingly drunk, crashing the party and being thrown out". I think he is a jerk and an asshole but at the same time a very unhappy person with an obsession with Adam. And that last part I can understand. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fnn9JlqqTE4 |

I also think that the fact that both he, RCA, and the AO site highlighted this competition when they haven't done so with voting ops in the past to my knowledge makes me think that they see some promo benefit in it. |
