Well I could not resist . I emailed Global tv about their incorrect reporting and copied the tweet from Upright Cabaret, hoping that in the future if reporting on the same topic this could be clarified. AS IF!! That peacock eye is amazing. That gal has one perfect eyebrow! |

Just reviewing a bit of history and as regards the discussion of how fast the single can come out after it is finally decided on I give you this about FYE release:
Oct 21, 2009 Songwriters having meltdowns on twitter anxiously awaiting decision on single and track list supposed to be decided but will not happen till at least Mon Oct 24, 2009
Oct 28, 2009 Adam tweets that the single will be called "For Your Entertainment"
Oct 30, 2009 Adam debuts the single on Ryan Seacrest
Nov 2, 2009 Single available on AO alone and with pre-order of Collector's Edition of album
Nov 3, 2009 Add date for radio and single available on Amazon
Nov 4, 2009 Single finally up on iTunes but all kinds of glitchyness happens for the first couple of days
So first confirmation that decision was made is Adam's tweet, songs debuts 2 days later and goes for sale and adds 3 days after that. Less than a full week from decision being announced. So basically this means that we could conceivably not hear anything until just days before release.

The album FYE was a rush job, complicated by the fact that songs were coming in at the last minute from artists like Pink, Muse and Gaga. (not to mention the complications surrounding the AMAs) Adam has been working on this second album for 8 months now. Adam, the label, and his management have had time to select album tracks and probable singles and plan a better roll-out. If the label just throws a single out there without any planned roll-out, I'm going to be very concerned! I'm also anxious for new music, but not so much that I want a half-assed roll-out. |

FYE schedule was a total mess and there was nothing typical about it.
Perhaps the oddest part was that it was released 3 weeks before Adam performed it live.
