They played both songs tonight at 10, and the poll is open another 20 hours for voting to see which song wins.

Reading these “met the celeb” stories brought me back to my college days (ahem, the early 70’s), when I worked at a t-shirt printing store on campus. The coming weekend was Homecoming, and The Beach Boys were scheduled to appear in the Field House as the featured group. I was excited to have tickets, although not good ones!
All of a sudden when I was at work, a very short blondish guy with long scraggly hair comes in and orders a t-shirt to be printed ... by me. It was a short sleeved tie-dyed one, with a huge bullseye of color on the front. I recognized him as Al Jardine of The Beach Boys, but said nothing as he was very much in a hurry and not very talkative. (I was a Beach Boys fan in the 60’s, so I was certain it was him).
Lo and behold, as the Beach Boys come on stage to perform, what is Jardine wearing, but my tie-dyed t-shirt! It wasn’t until then that my friends believed me, lol. And I have a picture of the campus newspaper (that I’ve saved somewhere), that shows Al on the front page, with his guitar and the tie-dyed shirt.
So I didn’t have much of a conversation with him, but it was kind of exciting for me at the time!
