Many people have hoped Adam would record holiday music someday – Wouldn’t it be great if Adam recorded “Oh Holy Night”, “White Christmas” and, of course, countless requests for Adam to record “Greensleeves”.

I joined this chorus of fans calling for Adam to record holiday music. I just had a different album in mind. I wanted an album that celebrates Adam’s favorite holiday – Halloween. And earlier this month, with the release of “Let It Glow” my wishes were fulfilled.

In case you’ve been cut off from civilization for the past month, here are the basic details about “Let It Glow”:

Every track on this album could be a smash radio hit and it took Adam, RCA and his management team weeks to select the right[/u] lead single. But they finally picked the perfect song: “If I Sang Boo”. And they sure picked the right track!!

The moment IISB hit the airwaves, it shot to #1. Within 7 days, it was the #1 song in 27 countries where it remains today – a full 6 weeks later. The album also became a massive hit – and has already 9X Platinum and has sold over 20 million units worldwide.

Doug Morris, Chairman & CEO of Sony Music Entertainment, relayed the backstory of “Let It Glow”. “We promised Adam that after he completed his third studio album, he could do a special project. He immediate told us he wanted to create the essential holiday album. We were a bit surprised that he wanted to record a holiday album but gave him the green light on the project.”

Morris then relayed what happened when Adam delivered the album early in 2013. “We honestly were shocked and dismayed when he brought us a Halloween album. We thought a “holiday album” would be another Christmas album. At first we didn’t even think we would promote this album. But then we heard the music –that was it. We knew that Adam had created a classic. A classic that the world had been just waiting for.”

Earlier today, an RCA spokesperson confirmed the next single from the album will be “Let It Glow” which will be pushed to radio as a Winter holiday song. In more good news for the goth-glam singer, “Zombie Walk” has been licensed as the theme song for Mardi Gras 2014, and “I’ll Be Home For Halloween” is slated to be on the upcoming Twillight saga movie soundtrack.

Adam has moved on to his next project, Adam Lambert 3D Funk, and fans won’t have long to wait for more music from the golden-voiced singer. The new 3D DVD will be released in Spring 2014.
