I am in heaven. This has to be in the top five all time best/favorite songs from Adam. Consummate artistry. Perfection in the vocals. Touching emotional impact. Purity of the tones. Truly 3 dimensional. Plus, the instrumental arrangement from Ricky MInor, I assume, adds to the emotional, powerful arc of the song. Gobsmacked!

Believe! This is probably the first time a studio recording of Adam Lambert is better than the live performance, and that live performance was stellar, plus it had video, applauding audience, and Cher crying as a cherry on top! I AM AMAZED!

I'm know I'm getting old, but I don't get the whole going to a "concert" to see a DJ play music...why not just listen to it on your radio, or Ipod, or whatever? Where is the thrill of watching Aviici or Steve Aoki just standing there? Weird. A DJ set flows continuously and quite often the transitions between songs are more creative than songs themselves, haha. The most skilled DJs also can mash two songs together in a way that sounds better than the originals. A DJ set can also tell a story by playing specific songs in a specific order. . That's so much more fun than one song ending - silence - another song beginning, rinse repeat. There's so much to it. But then again, I work in the industry, so I'm biased. I love dancing and I love dancing to electronic music and/or a DJ set, and now I can see how general admission standing room only will work out well for the El Rey. I am so thrilled to be there!! Best of both worlds for me haha.

Haha, I understand the bias. The whole thing really just sounds like a nightmare to me, but I'm really not a concert person either. The sheer number of people, the loudness...it's all way too overwhelming for me. I'm an introvert by nature, so listening to music in my car, or the stillness of my home is much more my speed. For many people, listening to music is a communal thing. The visceral vibe of the crowd, the electricity that the music creates in the air. I have never been to a big DJ show, but I can understand the appeal of it. To sing songs that you love with thousands of others, to feel it in your bones, sounds like a wonderful experience to me. It's different from a concert with a live singer or band. The DJ can really turn a string of songs in to a magnificent show. But to each his own. I like listening to music at home in peace and quiet, too. Depends on my mood! Still recovering from the listening to Adam's incredible Believe recording. Yes, it's every bit as good as the live performance, and even better in some ways because it is so clean and flawless. I love both equally! I hope the gets lots of hits, views and buys. It's one of Adam's signature songs now. And well-deserved.
