From Queen Fan Site QueenZone.com/www.queenzone.com/news/adam-lambert-to-sing-with-queen-at-the-emas.aspxQueen News Adam Lambert to sing with Queen at the EMAs? Added on 02-Nov-2011 "Rumour has it that Brian May approached Adam Lambert directly to sing with the band at the EMAs. Adam Lambert has tweeted: "Make sure you tune in to the EMA's this Sunday." and "@silliegirl oh I'm going to be there and more. " If he is I want "The show must go on"!! " Hmmmm... the little poll at the bottom of this is just a tad nasty, isn't it??? If he is, I want:
1. A loaded .38 caliber handgun. One bullet will be sufficient. 2. A noose 3. A straight razor and short sleeves 4. Mass amounts of uncut heroin 5. A large plastic bag 6. A closed garage and a running engine : Yeah, dudes, HIGH-larious. : : As if they had someone else who could do it? Prepare to feast on those words come Sunday. ;D Heh! And love that they repeated rumor that Brian May asked him directly. I'm totally behind the medley thing and it would NOT be Adam (or the others) singing one or two lines. Medleys can have a full verse with chorus with one song. If they alotted 10 minutes to the tribute, they could cover quite a few songs. It would all be in arranging, but I think it could be weaved together beautifully. I think with four or five people, they could rotate who is fronting while the others harmonize and do backing vocals. A great way to open it could be with "We Will Rock You." Each singer would be on even footing as they sang a verse apiece between the "We will, we will, rock you!" refrain. Would have loved for George Michael to be one of the performers, but oh well. Still think the high level of secrecy is telling and I'm not worried about no mention of single yet. I think that will most definitely be part of event press and hoopla. (Please, oh, please taping of Ellen on the 10th!!!) IF Adam sings alone with Queen, OMG!! Even better!! But I still think they could do a killer medley with some of the old and new talent and it could sound fantastic if arranged well.

Thanks for posting I didn't get how this was going to work. They've put together a retrospective film celebrating their 40th anniversary and wanted segments of it to be accompanied by live Queen music. Since the Extravaganza is a touring production and Queen themselves no longer wish to tour, they are putting together their own tribute band to provide live music. These auditions are for positions in that band.

I just upgraded comcast service to get the EMAs and the Majors & Minors show. They threw in free Showtime too. It will only cost about $8 to upgrade for a week.

Pretty sure it's an adam fan who posted that news/rumor originally there (recognize the username). I have a similar mental image to your's, can't wait to see how it all plays out! Of the other performers we know will be there who might also be guest vocalists in spots, (though I'd like some big name surprises) my wishes are: Yes: Amy Lee - evanescence Gaga Jesse J Maybe: Bruno Katy Perry Background only?: Coldplay Snow Patrol No: Beiber Red Hot Chili Peppers LMFAO

Every fandom has trolls.... :( Koshka is right. They probably aren't trolls, just diehards. For them Freddie can never be replaced. And they're right, he can't. They just don't get that this is about paying tribute to, not replacing Freddie. And no matter how well this turns out, most diehards will not praise Adam's (or any other persons) performance IMO.
