Playing audio track again, and again, and thinking it's not just that Adam is brilliant, and that it's so rapturous that he's fronting Queen, it's also THE MUSIC.
Queen are legendary for good reason. They're astonishingly talented. So it's not just that Adam's big enough, or bold enough, or talented enough for Queen, it's mutual.
They're the best. And they're big enough, bold enough, and talented enough for him. And, yes, I'm thrilled and honored and ecstatic and humbled Queen chose Adam for tonight. And I'm not in any way saying Adam equals 40 years of Queen. Yet. 38 years from now, who knows what Adam will have achieved.
But, this was the first time we've heard Adam at the top of his game melded with legendary talent playing with him.
We get lots of great Adam vocals when he does acoustic radio promo's or whatever. But this 7 plus minutes with which we were gifted tonight, is the first time there have been so many talented musicians playing together.
Adam's band is great. Shoot, even the AI band is pretty good. But they're not Queen. 40 years of greatness matters. And tonight two kinds of greatness came together.

THANKS Rheimer! I'm not totally new, but I've been out of commenting in the posts for many months now. Thanks for welcoming me back. It's a great day for the glittery fans. ;D Coming out of lurkdom to say that watching this YT really choked me up, thinking about how he owned that place and how that EPiC performance will be seen by millions. THIS is exactly the moment he needed before launching his next album. Loved his trench coat and his swagger (maybe the hair isn't my fave, but it's masculine and edgy). I bet this was said by several already--wow, Adam sure had to "sing down" to do this at the AI finale with Kris who-is-he-again? Allen. Tonight this was Queen in all their former glory with a singer who could really match the legend of Freddie. Back to lurking, but THANK YOU Q3 and all you ladies who post regularly for adding a touch of glitter to my life on a weekly basis. I'm still an Adam Fan!  Glad you de-lurked. |

I've worn out the replay button on youtube. What an incredible gift Adam gave Brian and Roger. A moment in time to relive their glory days. I'm thinking they got a taste of it when they performed with him on Idol. Tonight he gave them a full helping. I'll be forever grateful to Brian May for recognizing Adam's talent but I'll bet you a dime to a donut they're thanking him for what he gave to them. Mutual admiration society indeed.

Never thought I'd say this, but Adam looks short in this outfit. 8-) I think the person photographing him must be 8 feet tall, look how fore-shortened his legs are, I don't think it's the outfit 8-) |

Aaaacccckkk! Fail. I ordered the tr3s, set the dvr for a half hour longer, and the ~~^,<£¥^#% thing stopped before Adam. (*calms down* remembers this is a no angst day on Atop) Otherwise what a perfect day *sigh* I'm sighing with you. I successfully recorded it, but accidentally deleted it when trying to replay. :-[ Will TR3s play it again in the next few days ? |
