Well... I hope no one starts posting on the Queen forum... Today I saw that the DDD forum has been over run by some BSC fans.. which I personally find very embarassing There have been a few there forever – one in particular for a very long time and everyone knows what she's about. Most of the other fans ignore, from what I've head from other fan posters there. The photo is not shopped; it's on the OUT 100 slideshow. (Not to say there might have been some Photoshop used in the creation of the image, but that is the image directly from the magazine.)

OMG did you listen to Rodger Taylor to the video I posted above?? This brilliant genious singer!!!! Woaoo what a voice one in a hundred million!!!!And the way Brian May touched him when Rodger Taylor was talking omg!!!
And Adam so humble!!!! I'm in tears again omg what an honor!!!! Morning all... I am still speechless and just barely able to type. For some reason that video won't play - I am in US. Do you think that is why? Anywhere else to watch? Q3 what a great opening today - don't know how you can take so much information and organize it so Fantastically!!! Cassie: tears in eyes. Your recap is so great!!!

peacevehicle peacevehicle by NoAngelPF I love the whole thing: The wharhol tribute. The cheeky play on everyone thinking he looks like elvis. Outlaws of love. Cocked & ready to go I didn't think about the "Outlaws of Love" connection! Perfect!

Guys, there's a reason for that photo. From the Out Magazine slide show: "To pay homage to their individualism, this year's portfolio is inspired by iconic portraits of the 20th century, from Richard Avedon's image of a shaving Marlon Brando and Robert Mapplethorpe's Patti Smith to Herb Ritts's Madonna and Harry Benson's timeless portraits of the Beatles pillow-fighting."( www.out.com/out100/2011-Out-100/?slideshow_title=2011-Out-100&theID=1#Topz ) ALL photos for the Out special edition had some sort of inspiration behind them. The inspiration for Adam's photo is the iconic Elvis Presley Warhol poster that was posted above (and also, at www.wikipaintings.org/en/andy-warhol/elvis-presley). So I see this as an HONOR - to step in the shoes of Elvis. Stepping in the shoes of Freddie Mercury and Elvis Presley, all in one week's work. Only AFL.

I wonder if the new attitude toward color is part of the new era - red in this photo, the blue McQueen shirt on the runway. I expect that black leather will still be his signature, but I'm betting we see him in a lot more variety than we're used to.

AHHH!!! I wanna stay and play. The OUT picture is hilarious. The comments about the performance from various people esp. Queen and the Queen fan club make me so proud of Adam. I can't even imagine what his parents are thinking right now. I mean, they burped and changed this man back in the day, now look what he is doing!
The reply Adam sent to Paula was sooooo Adam. "I had so much fun!" The second line was missing though, it should have said "I got to wear a cool outfit too!" I am so happy for him.
Now RL calls, I gotta go to the dentist. Dang, staying here would be so much more fun!

I left at page 139 of yesterday’s thread, so missed Cassie’s review. I thought I was done with the teary eyes until then.I haven’t started today’s yet except to drool over banner pic. This morning I watched my DVRed version on a huge flatscreen and was blown away. So different from the livestream and YouTubes. I emailed the YouTube to a few people last night, 3 of them guys, and received responses first thing this morning.
1. My nephew, almost as old as I am, who is a graphic artist but has always either played in a band or managed small indie bands in Texas, and who told me a few weeks ago he was into classic rock until the last few years. Tired of it, now into alternative rock. I hadn’t heard of any of them. This morning: “Holy shit! We were obviously talking about two different Adam Lamberts. I had no idea. You said he’s working on 2nd album, rock?”
2. A guy I’ve known since he was 22 and who has been a sound editor in Hollywood for 24 years, consequently is a music freak. We reconnected a year or so ago and he turned the subject to music and a few jazz musicians we had gone to see long time ago. He’s still heavily into jazz and actually said, “What?! Really?!” when I mentioned Adam. This morning: “Since I’m a typical guy I hate to admit I’m wrong but that boy can sing. Will he be fronting Queen now? That would be a whole new start for them.... the boy has balls, saw him interacting with sound tech. Guess he’s not new at this.”
3. An unofficial nephew (31) who is as bad as we are but stans U2, goes to at least 3 or 4 concerts every tour when he can get away and can get tickets. We’re very close and I love him, but wanted to smack him when I saw the indulgent smirk on his face when we discussed Adam last year. This morning: “Queen! Impressive honor for Adam. Maybe I’ll have to reconsider my opinion since I never really gave him a chance. Would I like his CD (I’m not positive he would, hates pop?) Email me a few videos. When’s he touring next? Maybe I’ll go with you and check it out.”
One of #3’s best friends is a (obnoxious morning ride) DJ in a major market, so when I talk to pseudo-nephew next I will remind him of all favors I’ve done for him over last 15 years and encourage him to slip in a few props when #2 comes out.
All in all, successful email spam.

FYI
My DVR is showing the EMA awards on Tuesday at 8pm on LOGO, and on Saturday at 2pm on PLDHD. It is the 2 hour version, so I fear TSMGO will not be on.
