Whew, finally caught up. I've got to quote angelkrash and smile at her posting the "I told you so" clip.... Recalling the eye rolls and patronizing looks given to me by friends and family when I labelled Adam a future icon - last night's performance was deliciously vindicating! We won't have to forward video clips soon.  .....and I LOVE that OUT photo. Don't save many pictures - but just saved that one! |

We keep talking about this from Adam's point of view. However, what if you are QUEEN and Freddie has been gone for a long time and you are wondering if you will ever find someone to sing those songs with anything CLOSE to the original power.
Then, ADAM. I imagine QUEEN is as happy to find ADAM as ADAM is to get to sing with QUEEN.

Good morning! Guys...I have got to stop watching the EMA video. Seriously, I can't get enough of it! After being here all day yesterday, I need to get some things done around here! But Adam has a UK promo starting today and many more interviews and sightings to see....I'm never going to stop being glued to my PC!! Well, I do have some appointments this week so I guess I will accomplish a little RL stuff! :  But it is so much more fun to be here! I would love to know how much rehearsal that Adam did with Queen before their performance. He arrived just a couple of days before the show...do you think the two EMA stage rehearsals were all they did to prepare for this? Because that was one fantastic performance!! |

This morning's edition of the Houston Chronicle had a small write-up about the EMAs (briefly mentioned Bieber, GaGa, Coldplay, S. Gomez, Bruno Mars, Eminem, Katy Perry) and they mentioned that Queen won the Global Icon Award and closed the show with a set of their classics - but no mention of Adam. :( What? WTF? No way that was written by Joey Guerra! Wonder if he will do a blog on it, I'll bet he will. |

Who knew? Adam was exciting, dynamic, HBIC last night and that’s the only way you can succeed when you’re fronting Queen. It did give me a chuckle when he was directing the techs on sound issues. That is what makes him so special - the voice combined with knowing what he wants and how to get it. Not being intimidated and taking full responsibility- not credit- for the performance is vital.
As I was critiquing the vocals my wife was drooling over the boots and jacket. She’s usually more sophisticated than that, but she’s allowed a lapse once in a while. Really, $3500 for the jacket, Really? That’s okay, one man’s jacket is another man’s Harley.
