Just play that little behind-the-scenes vid for your dad, where Rodger Taylor is saying all those wonderful things about Adam, then just shrug, and know you have better taste than your dad!!!  :  I know it's frustrating when your "nearest and dearest" just don't get it. Sending hugs!!!  I am starting to think I have the better taste. I should just get all the videos of people praising Adam together, and then ask him if he really thinks all the big people in the music industry are wrong. And if he still doesn't get it then more Adam for me to love  Here's something else you can give him ;D ;D Roger and Brian have spent years trying to find and retain a vocalist that can hold a candle to Freddie and do justice to their music. I'm sure it's a search they would have been happy to be well rid of years ago, but it's just NOT that easy to replace a legend. And if Dear Ole Dad is so sure there are hundreds on You Tube, call him on it Because Roger sure doesn't think so.  |

Ok, in the meantime I answered my own question: WWFM was released on Nov 20, according to Wikipedia - and that corresponds with what I remembered, that it was released the week of the AMAs in 2009. So I guess there's still time. I'll try to be patient.... NOT! ok, I GOT IT.
Adam will be coming back from the UK some time this week and announcing his single on 11/11/11 because it's like this enormous date that has all sorts of significance for him astrologically that I don't get but whatever. It's a great marketing date!
He starts mad radio promo (which has been planned ahead anyway - see phoners in which he was talking about the Glamberts)
He performs his single at the AMAs and blows everyone away (see the rumour about him performing at the AMAs)
His single EXPLODES! in November.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it. lalalalalalalalala

Is this the first time Queen has performed the song live? Since Freddie recorded it just 6 weeks before passing, I'm wondering. I've checked you tubes but can't find anything but recordings. No, they played it in their set while touring with Paul Rodgers singing. I am only on P.8 and I hate to post when I'm so behind--but frankly guys, RL may keep me from ever getting through an entire thread again--especially if Adam keeps doing EPIC stuff! SO, with that disclaimer, I was so curious about this Rodgers live version of TSMGO, that I had to look it up. I confess I know little about PR-srsly I am not knocking him one bit (to each his own)--BUT WOW I CAN SEE WHY QUEEN WANTED ADAM TO SING! :D |

Thank you rihannsu, the dates you pulled are very helpful. I do remember that basically WWFM was unveiled at the same time as FYE (I remember being able to dl them from adamofficial.com at the same time) but WWFM was sent to radio a little later than FYE. This timeline explains it.
It also fits with the 11/11/11 announcement of the single idea.
Please universe, make it happen. I don't think I can wait anymore. Maybe if we all try really hard and think happy thoughts it will happen *squints eyes* LOL

Whoa, hoopla1 what. was. that??? That was terrible. Sorry Paul Rodgers fans, I'm sure he's a nice guy and a good talent (had never heard him sing before either) but there's really no comparison.
Wow. It really puts things into perspective how good Adam was last night
