What a day in the fandom(!) ... PURPLE COAT MAGIC again last night, WHOLE LOTTA LOVE, and me reminiscing about the OSCARS last year, just like Adam in his story. It looks like Javi sent his Oscars story first - just a "little throwback to last year" shot from the audience toward the stage when the lights were still on, and no specific mention of Adam - and a few hours later Adam sent his story with the mention of Javi, followed by Javi's "happiness" response. Sweet in a way of course, but I hope that Adam has found closure from this chapter. Underlying and blanketing all these emotions is my excitement about VEGAS!!! Is it April yet? And should we beg Adam to bring back WLL for his solo concerts?

I wouldn't mind if Whole Lotta Love and Heartbreak Hotel found a way into Adam's Vegas setlist.
We need a meet up thread.

Was this the first time QAL played WLL? I can’t remember...I searched the krypto’s Full Circles site but didn’t find it... They teased WLL once a few years ago during one of the concerts (O2 Arena, Prague, Czech Republic February 17, 2015). Brian did just the opening bars, and Adam did not start singing it, but laughed. youtu.be/JpbEOBsHv-UI assumed that they might have played with it at some point during rehearsals because Brian is a big Zeppelin fan, and Adam ended up in the band largely because of that performance (as reported by Spike). So it was bound to happen some day, but last night's performance was indeed the first time they covered the song during a concert. Now I have to go and add another Full Circle Moment to my site...

Just my tiny bit of harmless schadenfreude for the day... Idina Menzel reacts to Eminem at this year's Oscars and ... Javier Bardem reacts to QAL at last year's Oscars Ok, I have to go do a few nice things to restore my karmic balance I am not an Eminem fan, but I did appreciate him a bit more last night as I was able to read the lyrics in the subtitles. I think the opening with Janelle Monae was great, and I was throughly entertained, and from what I can tell based on the standing ovation she got others were too. That does not diminish the massive opening of Queen and Adam last year. I wish they would have had a bit more time for their opening number.

Agree with everything! WLL had some special energy, and I am not talking the “usual” sexy vibes, I am talking the TRIUMPHANT vibes... the photo is unfortunately photoshopped to the point where it looks like a caricature ...everything is distorted and lifeless - IMO
Not even photoshopped, I guess it's just one of those Instagram filters. Don't care for that kind of stuff either. But Adam's gonna Adam, haha! Whatever makes him happy.
I agree. It just looks like one of those filters. I don't really like them either because of the distortion but no harm I guess, lol.

QAL rocked and didn't need a lot of extras and help to wow the crowd. But it was an experiment with no host. So maybe with all the press and accolades they received, they decided to give more time to the opening. I enjoyed Janelle but it did not ring so different. I guess there is something to being the first rock band to open the Oscars, lol.

Wow! How on earth you’ve remembered that! and yes! It is a BIG circle moment, given the fact that WLL was the one getting the (crucial) to the QAL story Spike’s wife’s attention!
