RE: that Buttigieg protest. Any President must be President for all Americans. A gay President has to address gay issues among many many other issues. Obama had to be President for all Americans, not just black Americans. Everybody's issues are important, but a President has to find a way to serve everyone.
Love that snippet of Adam in the interview! The AMA incident still looms large, doesn't it? It was a real pivotal moment in Adam's career. Things might have started out differently for him if he hadn't done it the way he did. We'll never know, but we do know that things are going pretty darn well right now.

As always, my nerves are shattered after the Europe ticket buying experience for the Velvet tour. I hit up the Finnish site first as Hamburg and Copenhagen were GA - only to find that it immediately converted to Finnish (even though I had picked Google translate to English) and there was no way to see anything in English. In a panic I picked the VIP with no Meet and Greet and let the web site choose the seat - so may not have got the very best seat. But cutting and pasting the Finnish to Google translate was headache enough, because, as it turned out one had to create an account before they let you buy and the clock was ticking because the ticket couldn't be held for too long. I ticked all sorts of boxes as well and may or may not have purchased insurance - I had no idea at the end, LOL. Same happened for the Danish site. It switched to Danish with no way to get back to English. At least the German ticket buying was really easy. Thank God for German efficiency. If anyone is going to Hamburg or Copenhagen let me know as we can queue together and spell each other off, as we did for the other GA Velvet tour shows in North America. BTW, it looks like the Helsinki VIP packages were gone in 15 minutes. Lol, I bought tickets to Copenhagen. I'm going to make it into a mini vacation with my sister. I'd love to meet! Same thing happened to me - it turned into Danish, and I had to Goggle Translate everything in a different tab, and I had to create a Ticketmaster account, and by the time I was done, my time expired... It's a good thing though I took the time to translate, because to insure the tickets, apparently you must be a resident of a Scandinavian country. Who knew. Definitely look forward to meeting new fans. Do you also plan to queue ahead of time because it's GA? I'm thinking latest 2 pm to get in the queue. I didn't figure out the insurance thing and ticked all the boxes - so I've paid for it but I guess I can't use it, LOL. I'll probably be coming in from Hamburg because I have tickets for that show. Only way I'll miss it is if I'm not allowed to get off the cruise ship 2 days earlier.

Yeah, I don't really understand the gay community "eating their own" either. Of course, I'm not gay, but why not support a gay man running for president instead of basically saying he's not gay enough? Or doesn't support every one of your agendas?
Sometimes pushing for change at full speed ahead accomplishes nothing but sending changes backwards. Who would have thought that a gay man would be running for President 10 or 15 years ago? And every gay person will not vote for Mayor Pete. But there is no need to try to hurt him when he has done nothing wrong. There are more than enough people out there who will gladly do that just because he is gay. Why try to punish him for not being all or who you want him to be? If there is a candidate that better represents what you want, then support that person. However based on the complaint, there is no one like that who stepped up to run. Being present and taken seriously helps the whole community even though he has to appeal to a broader base. Things take time but you have to start somewhere. Mayor Pete can't change his race, his background or who he is. But he had the courage to run under some very difficult circumstances. He should be supported and given credit even if he is not your choice when you walk in to vote.
When the Mayor first decided to run, there was a gay author who wrote the most awful hit piece on why the Mayor would not be taken seriously. Every reason he gave, as to why he would not be accepted, was reduced to a graphic gay sex talk (tho the dude didn't even know him). I'm glad that he has been proven wrong by many people. I always admire Adam when he says there is more to me than just my sexuality. How great will it be when everyone in every community gets that who you have sex with (gay or straight relationships, sex is part of life) is not all that you are?

hi all! i'm new here. stumbled across this site while looking for ticket information online and...wow...what can i say? the Adam love is strong here! I just bought a ticket for the concert in Hamburg on 8 September. i live in the US but tentatively am planning to be in the neighborhood (Austria) for work around that time. if anyone local (or not so local) is planning to be there, it would be fun to meet up. i promise i'm no crazier than most people😉
i will be at the QAL show in Berlin this summer and I CANNOT WAIT. i think Dr. Brian May is an absolute treasure (those other guys in the band aren't too bad, either)

Was it Queen or Adam, or the QAL TEAM that drew you into your concert purchase? aw, thanks for the warm welcome (suzysuzy qt, too)! it was all of the above! like for so many, Queen's music has been in my life since childhood. Adam's music is a more recent discovery for me, he has the MOST AMAZING VOICE I HAVE EVER HEARD and he seems like a really stellar human being, what's not to like? I'm a huge music fan and love going to shows, though I don't go out as much on school nights (not in school but I spent fully have my life there and that's how I still refer to weeknights) so try to go to shows when I'm traveling. I saw Muse in Copenhagen last September (same venue where QAL is playing this summer, great arena for a show), am counting the seconds til QAL Berlin and hope to be able to make it to Hamburg to see Adam make his solo magic (if not, will definitely cross my fingers for a concert in the Pacific NW later this year). peace, love and music, y'all!

I always find it interesting to learn or garner insights into our community members. I seriously had a chuckle when I read your bolded words. The age demographics here are so varied. Some are still in school/post secondary. Others have retired from education related careers. For more than half my life ..."school nights" were a reality. 😄To me they are more than nights after school...homework/jobs can extend into the nights!!!! Now I happily sometimes have to check my calendar as to the day's actual date. Haha
