Also, I didn't go back and read the @replies of Iowa Radio Guy, but I never saw any "twitter bombing" on my feed and it's been proven on more than a few occasions that people get all victim-y and act like they're attacked by Adam fans and when you go read their @replies there are a smattering of rude tweets; the rest are usually quite sane with their explanations about setting the record straight. I only saw a couple of people tweet the radio station last night and it was done very respectful and was not in any way rude. .  Can you imagine the comments they must get from the Justin Bieber (14,340,374 followers) & Lady Gaga (15,661,689 followers) fans? I agree with what Susie said above. I sometimes think that there is an over-reaction by some of these radio stations when they get more than a couple of tweets or emails. I only follow on twitter the radio stations in my area. Since that is Toronto, I follow the radio stations I listen to at work and in the car which are three Top40 stations and one HAC Station. (because it's Toronto these stations are all #1 radio stations, so I don't want this Beg For Money song to piss them off and then Adam loses support for when His official single comes out. He got many more than 2 tweets -- I don't follow him so I had to check his Twitter feed to see them. I do not know what would happen if there was a old pre-Universal Gaga or Bieber single released, but I would not want to be on Twitter that day. ;D I think IowaRadioGuy is a bit sensitive because of the Idol Mentor mess he stepped into. Calling a DJ an "ignorant moron" is just not a smart thing to do if you are trying to help Adam. And that is one of the nicer rude comments. Granted, he also got some polite corrections. But WSTW did not deserve to have their phones and tweeter feed pounded when they disqualified Adam from their Countdown voting because their was an international fan campaign to vote in their poll. Why would a station in Delaware care if a LA fan called to complain. (I know the station GM and he said it was the worst fan behavior he had ever seen -- worse than Clay and Archie fans.) WSTW is a strong Adam supporter but very focused on the Delaware market because Wilmington is only 30 miles from Philadelphia. |
