I really hope that this virus nightmare does not destroy the touring and concert industry for artists. Most have already lost out on album and single sales because the music is almost given away for free because of streaming. In fact many don't want to pay for anything. That article said artists can make millions on-line. But how long would it take for fans to start demanding those concerts are free also? Most of the really successful artists are doing them for free now and that is a good thing. Some of the smaller artists are charging a small fee to view the concerts but they are not making millions on tour, so it is expected that they would need to charge. But the more successful artists won't be able to do it for free forever but it may become an expectation as it always does. The artists making a living, on their creations and art, becomes secondary to the wants of fans.

The artist making a living, on their creations and art, becomes secondary to the wants of fans. Nobody can make a living at something that they give away for free. Fans have been very spoiled since technology has allowed them to listen and view music without paying a cent. Technology helps artists get their music out there to the public but it also gives fans an easy way to not pay anything for it. Unless you're a high-end-earning artist (and I put Adam in that category) you can't become wealthy at making music. Touring is a big money-maker for the top acts. But the virus has put a stop to that. It's tough out there. Nice for Adam that he has some money in reserve. As a solo act, Adam is not at the Queen level, but he big enough to have international tours, which is a pretty big achievement. I hope that if he is going to do one of those at-home "concerts," he gets going and does it pretty soon before the momentum of those things dies down. The album is doing pretty darn well, IMO.

They are being ridiculous in their calculations too....they are basing those numbers on people paying the live ticket prices for a live stream!! wtf.....just click bait nonsense....

I don’t think huge dense gatherings like concerts or sporting events are going to be safe until the majority of the population acquired immunity , which would mean a widely accesible vaccine ... so in my mind that’s the “timeline” until the touring is back to ”normal””...
granted that young people don’t feel as vulnerable as older ones now so perhaps they would buy tickets and support the tours before vaccine is out there...however Queen audience is different.... perhaps I am just projecting my own POV, because there is no way in hell I am going to any event of any size until I developed immunity and it is proven that the immunity is long lasting...(assuming i survive until then)...
i know,I know - a really cheerful post here...
