i just watched Adam's IG chat with Boy George and Benedict Cork, as I missed the live one. LOVED IT. It felt natural and relaxed and I liked Adam's more down to earth look, despite the glasses. Sweet that he sang to us a little, and good to know that he won't shave his head lol.

I really enjoyed Adam’s little Live Instagram with Boy George and Benedict yesterday! And about the charts and streaming: I looked into the Rolling Stone Charts and checked the other album‘s numbers of streams. It’s clear, that Adam’s fandom isn’t big enough to beat them. The album one place ahead of Adam had more than 12,5 million streams last week. Adam had 440,6k. The #1 album has 165million streams (and sold 125k!) www.rollingstone.com/charts/albums/A little calculation: Adam sold 8k albums in the US. Let’s take this number of fans (I know there are more, but how many?). To reach just 10million streams, everyone would have to stream 1250 songs of the album in a week. And this won’t work either, because Spotify would detect that as cheating. Moreover there are these numbers from Billboard: Tier 1: paid subscription audio streams (equating 1,250 streams to 1 album unit) Tier 2: ad-supported audio streams (equating 3,750 streams to 1 album unit). 3,750 streams? I haven't reached that number in 5 years, sorry. These numbers make no sense to me. I buy and download my album. I even ordered the vinyl. So my bought music equals 11,250 streams on my ad-supported Spotify. And about streaming lists: Adam’s numbers aren’t even in reach of the big lists, that he would need. All the songs in the TOP 200 get millions of streams every single day. Yes, that’s the truth. Adam’s whole album achieved 440,6k streams. Since I don’t live in the States, these calculations are only in theory. I stream, when I like to listen to the music. It’s clear for me, that the 24h streaming that some fans try to do, don’t have much impact. Even if you achieve that, you will not even reach the numbers for 1 more album in the charts. But I agree that it‘s better than nothing. For me personally, it just doesn’t make sense. Especially, when you see how far Adam is behind all the others. He will very likely be out of the Top 100 next week. That‘t the effect of a small fanbase AND the missing push of a big label. It is what it is. I‘m actually not complaining, just showing how things are, because we always see Adam‘s numbers posted here, but never in relation to the rest of the market. BUT I STILL LOVE THAT ALBUM!
