Wish I knew how to move pictures from one site to another. The one of Brian and Adam on the first page of HM's post where Brian looks like a proud dad is a classic. Adam looks pretty happy, too! I don't remember seeing that one here. Is this the one? Yes! Wanna hug them both -thanks, mariep!

I asked her your question about whether this was a style of singing that would eventually hurt Adam's voice, and she said, "No." He is singing with the absolute best technique, and the power rock sound comes from a way of squeezing the muscles in his throat, not from straining or pushing his vocal cords. So, we don't have to worry about Adam blowing out his voice like Adele apparently did. I asked her why Adele had the problems when she would have learned proper vocal technique at the school she went to. Angelina said that the school does not concentrate on proper, classical technique (which is really the only way to sing with power without damaging the voice eventually)........ Angelina has also said several times, and I can't remember exactly where, but that the male voice doesn't reach full potential until around 40. So we have lots to look forward to, and yes, SusieF he does just keep getting better and better! Can't wait for #2!

I LOVED the Swedish movie based on the first book all three movies have been done, they are all good! The 2nd two, were with subtitles, but the first one was also in English. Great movies, but gotta say - I love me some Daniel, gonna be great! I will have to look for the other two, I only saw the first one and thought it was well done (and faithful to the book).

www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/nov/14/listening-station-glee-the-music-the-christmas-alb/Glee: The Music, the Christmas Album Volume 2... “Extraordinary Merry Christmas,” one of the album’s two original tracks, tries to co-opt every pop/rock lick from the past 10 years, starting with the guitar intro to Adam Lambert’s “Whataya Want From Me” and ending with a chorus straight out of a P!nk song. “Santa Baby” shines a spotlight on the show’s most underrated vocalist, Naya Rivera, but doesn’t allow her to do anything more than an Eartha Kitt impression, thanks to a straightforward arrangement that hews too closely to the original. Lea Michele’s note-for-note re-creation of Joni Mitchell’s “River” suffers the same fate; it’s gorgeously sung but unimaginatively presented, sounding more like holiday karaoke than the showstopper it wants to be. ...

OMG THAT GIF. LMAOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Secondly, it's cool that Glee is using the WWFM opening rif in the song. Goes to show that the song is pretty recognizable just on that alone. Pretty cool. Maybe Glee will actually use era #2 songs in the show this time around? I mean I am pretty much over Glee, and think the show has gone down the crapper quality wise, but it's still hugely popular and would be amazing exposure for his music. The show has featured a ton of Katy Perry tunes so maybe since they have the same management now DMG can help facilitate this....

Hello Atopians. I need help from someone who is young and trendy (I'll avoid the word "hip" as that definitely would peg me as older than I actually am). 8-) 8-)
Does anyone know what the phrase "cool squawk" means? If some one responded with that when you gave them a CD or book? I didn't find the urban dictionary too helpful--everything from bad radio connections to farts.
HELP.

I also heard an interview with Roger Taylor this morning on Big 105.9 here in South Florida. They were asking about if Paul Rodgers would be singing with them for any upcoming gigs and Roger said no. Our DJ asked "who was that flamboyant kid from American Idol? Did anything happen with him?" Perfect timing right?? So Roger said Adam's name and let them know about the EMAs and how great Adam was!! I was so happy that he got a positive mention as I did not even think the EMAs were going to come up. The show is called the Paul and Young Ron Show and can be found at www.paulandyoungron.comThere is a podcast for it for the whole 8AM hour and is 40+ minutes long. Roger came on at the very end of the hour so I did not listen to make sure it was there. I can post a direct link if anyone wants it.
