When my YouTubes were blocked, I could still see them. I thought they would have sent me a notice, but didn't get one. Guess I'll take em down. :( Is this one blocked, too? I can still see it. The take downs seem to be hit or miss. |

This is OT, but given that it is slow here tonight, just thought I can recommend this perhaps for those who are interested.
I headed over to queenonline.com tonight and started looking through those round 2 candidates for the Queen Extravaganza competition.
1) I learned quite a bit watching these different people perform on their selective instruments
2) I voted in those categories where I thought I was knowledgeable enough to have an opinion, the others I did not. The candidates received specially edited backing tracks with their specific instrument left out, so you can really observe them add their instrument to the mix. For instruments I knew less about, i.e. the base that was educational, for others, like keyboard, which I can play (somewhat), I could really pay attention to the details and the interpretation.
3) In vocals. One of the most interesting parts was that with this song (crazy little thing called love), people who were front runners in round one (i.e. Mark Martel) were by no means ahead of the pack. I had heard both BR as well as STL from him (during round 1) and thought he was the run-away star. He will still make it in round 2 because 6 people will make it through this round, but there were others that I thought were better or at least not worse than him.
So, if you have nothing to do and are interested in the subject, head on over and play and vote. I also was thinking, if I had to put a band together for Adam right now based on these guys, who would I put in?
