There was a certain "Glambert in the know" that mentioned something along the lines of "Adam's tour will be different and some fans will not like it". Now I see what was meant by that... Not sure how I feel about it. I feared something like that and now I‘m glad, that I‘m in Europe and Adam is touring on his own here. Whenever that will be. I‘m absolutely not interested in a shared tour with a female pop artist. I would hate it to pay more, to get a shorter set from Adam and to be surrounded by fans, who aren’t interested in Adam. Sorry. If Adam was first, I would leave after his set. Otherwise I would either come later or spend my time at the bar or with other fans chatting outside until Adam is on. That’s rude for an artist, but I’m sure many of the other artist’s fans would react similar. And I would for sure not go to more than one show. Sorry for my negative view, I know Adam would like to tour with her and play bigger arenas. If a shared tour is the price, I prefer a small theater. By the way: This happened last time in the Us as well, when a tour with Demi Lovato was planned. Adam toured alone, after that arrangement fell apart. I think, fans were happy the way it went...

If Adam wanted to do a joint tour with someone I would be up for one with somebody like Pink. There isn't many other artists out there now I would go to see in concert but I would definitely enjoy Pink. I think Adam and Pink would be a good fit. But that will probably never happen.

Personally I think Adam and xtina would be fabulous. Would go for sure. I'm sure they will attempt to reschedule everything. Still hoping for Vegas!

Dang...I am so NOT an Xtina fan and hope it does not happen. Both together would fill a 11-15 thousand place. 2010--- cancelled tour due to poor sales and the show Burlesque also cited a reason for tourcancellation 2019 ...with more visibility I might assume from the Voice, her X Tour in 2019... was 18 shows in Europe close to 5000, to max in the 8000 range. 2020 SSE live awards...best solo act live performance. Well she is admired by some. I'm not a fan of Xtina, and I don't know how a joint tour with Adam would sell, but I can definitely see why they were willing to try. Artists do joint tours, as I assume this one would have been (as opposed to Adam opening for her, which I strongly doubt was the plan), in part because the total is greater than the sum of its parts - they would draw more attention together than separately, and I do think that pairing would draw attention. Adam really doesn't have a lot of artists he, and his fan base, would be compatible with, but IMO Xtina would be one. I"m not saying that all Xtina fans would be fans of Adam's, or vice versa, just that their fans are both intensely focused on exceptional vocal ability and tend to appreciate that in other artists. And, not to put too fine a point on it, they're of a similar age and have fans that skew older than the young CHR crowd. I would have been very interested to see how it would have played out, and hope it will happen at some point. I actually agree with everything you and lureene said. I posted fast and had to rush to help my husband with spring clean up --he was ready to fold up the washed down and finally dried winter covers for the patio furniture. I was not able to add something similar to what you wrote, that I bolded. I just threw in that together they could fill arenas. I might not be a fan but in hind sight maybe in concert I would develop a stronger appreciation for her over the top vocals, as I seem to like a guy who on occassion does that too! 🤗 And yes...there are not that many artists that would seem as likely a team. Wiki says she puts on a very spectacular ...glitz and glitter show, so Adam would have been a nice balance with wanting a more music driven, back up singers, no dancers needed show.

So, Adam had to cancel/ postpone: - Solo concerts in Vegas April 2020 - QAL tour in Europe May/June/July - Solo Tour In North America (Dates July/August?) - QAL tour in South America November/December.
What’s left? The European solo dates in August/September are currently up in the air, but it doesn’t look too good. Then there is Las Vegas in October.
It would have been a really busy touring year for Adam! 😳

And I think her shows toned down and pulled away from the heavy OTT pop shows she did when she played arenas on her own and back when she was competing with Britney. Sometimes people grow up and stop trying to rely on heavy dance like Madonna and Janet Jackson. Imo, it becomes a bit sad at some point. But Adam and Xtina can really sing so they can throw in a bit of organic and sexy dance moves but rely more on their vocals and stage presence. I know Adam can, lol.

OMG. I am stunned. When Adam talked about his touring plans, I remember he said something - I don't recall exactly what it was, now - that made it sound like something more than just his usual solo tour modus operandi, and we were wondering what that could be. Now we know. I'm so sad for Adam, because regardless of what I, or anyone else, thinks of Xtina, he's a huge fan and that had to be something he was so excited about. I know the coronavirus has cost many people dearly, in much more important ways, but still...Adam's plans have taken such a beating. He must be so disappointed about all the cool things he had on tap that have had to be rescheduled or cancelled with a lot of uncertainty as to when, or even if, they'll ever happen. I hope the tour was going to be as co-headliners. Can't believe he'd want to be an opening act at this point, even for CA. Yep. No way he would be an opening act on his own VELVET tour. I hope they can reschedule. Well somebody's got to be the opening act. I doubt it would have been CA.

"Going first" is not the same as "opening act." If Adam were the opening act, he'd have a much shorter set than Xtina. If they were co-headlining, their sets would be roughly the same length. Sometimes the co-headliners will alternate who performs first.

Love that concept...sadly in reality she can sell out and Adam would be an opening act unless he gets some massive hit in the future. I do not know who else specifically to recommend to team with Adam, but there are artists like -- an Alessia Cara who toured our city but in an under 3000 capacity venue. She is huge on the radio but would need a touring partner to do arenas. And a wild choice would be someone like Camilla Cabello. Her 2020 tour as of Jan. 5, 2020 sold half of its tickets For the North American leg of Cabello's tour "only 25,855 tickets have been sold since December 4, 2019, with (48,624 total tickets available)." Shoshanna is Camilla's PR person, as well as many other artists...ie Miguel, so the timing and matching artists/ demographic suitability has indirect links, but complicated to perhaps organize with all the moving parts of people's careers.
