And yes, I want Adam to take risks, but not ones that involve risking his career. A scandal with a lot of buzz does not matter, the US could use some, but please Adam, sacrifice some other skin not your own next time, thanks. ;D 1) I believe that Adam transcended the AMA scandal because he is a fighter and [...] because his label and management saw that fight in him and [...] see the big picture. Together they worked it out to capitalize on the AMAs (in terms of international coverage) and move beyond it [...]. 2) I really don't think Adam or his people can predict what type of risk is "safe" (lol) and what is not.[...] The biggest risk, IMO, for Adam is to get all wrapped up in trying to predict the response to any potential action and basing what he does on how people are going to react. The only thing he can do is to be himself. [...] So true, NoAngel; however, I do get the Sinead O'Connor reference, too, Craazyforadam. Perhaps time has changed? With the rapid growth of social media and the internet, people are now more vocal regarding (and more willing to vocalize behind anonymity) issues of social concern. Adam was lucky. He also had the goods to back up his luck. The time was ripe and the timing was serendipitous. It was a huge lesson for A, but he needed that, imo. It grounded him and brought him down from a dream-like Idol journey to the real music industry world, so to speak. It was due to his mature conduct and determination after the AMA that I finally fell down the rabbit hole with him...

ladies, I said that. I think that being invited to someone's talk show is a matter of ratings and not the host's likes or dislikes. ( I am not arguing with the fact that both of them might love Adam). And both Leno and Barbara knew that Adam will draw attention - ESPECIALLY thanks to the AMAs. anyway, I guess I am lucky in a way not seeing anything but WIN from the AMA, I do not think that the vocals were THAT bad as compared to all the other "voices" on that show and as usually - the more you see his performance the more it grows on you - so, after seeing it many many times - I love it! Carreer wise - you could not get any better launch than that one. After all (check game theory)-it is about winning the war and not necessarily each battle. craazyforadam - what happened to that beautiful singer you posted about? O'Connor? Why was her carrier "killed'? ...and still no new pictures :( She tore a picture of the pope on live TV, I think it was Saturday Night Live! Just so you all know Sinead is more than a little bat shit crazy and what she did was very deliberately and extremely offensive and she knew good and well what she was doing. There were a whole series of things that led up to that particular contratemps and while it did get here in boatloads of trouble and probably did kill her access to TV appearances it by no means killed her career. She did plenty for a while after that and any career killing if you want to call it that was most definitely on her end. BTW she actually did have quite a few "friends in high places" who went to bat for her many times. She's extremely talented but like many extremely creative types she a few screws loose as well. That one incident with SNL was simply the cherry on top of a whole series of insane stunts she pulled with full knowledge of what she was doing. She has said as much herself.

Ack! Can someone tell me how to add/friend someone on FB? I want to add Adam and fan club but can't figure it out For a public page, you just have to go to their page and click on the "like" button. Which like button? There are many of them?
