Well, I for one am very excited to hear Adam Lambert's "Fierce Pride Anthems."
And the Idol finalists ranking was interesting. I agree with toramenor. The comments about Adam were spot-on considering the times and the mind-set of the viewing audience. When these types of lists are made, Adam is always right up there with those top females. Interesting that JHud is not on the list at all. I'm not particularly a fan of hers, but she has made her mark is ways other than selling albums and touring. And Carrie's omission is somehow refreshing to me. TBH, she leaves me cold. Beautiful girl, of course, but nothing about her moves me.
And I liked the Eliot Raffit comment about "It's not your voice. It's your audience." It's very true. Voice quality is just one part of it. It's about connecting with an audience. Of course, "voice" means more than just vocal quality. It can refer to your over-all message in your music.

We'll, I just stumbled across two "Adam" interviews that were new to me - and I thought I'd seen them all! I was searching something about Chris Daughtry and Adam's interviews just popped up. There's not much new but he's articulate, eloquent and so interesting and I didn't want y'all to miss it! The first was done when he was in Australia a couple of months ago and the other, just before Velvet came out. The YouTube addresses are : 2020-03-18 Adam Lambert interview H umans of M usic and the other (great one) is : Adam Lambert talks Superpower, Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody & More. If you've seen these, just disregard. 😊

Saw this on Facebook a few minutes ago- I'm dying to know what this was. I guess if it's meant to be we'll see some day. I'm not a big Carrie fan either- she strikes me as a poor man's version of Shania Twain but no where near as good! IMHO that's the way I see it.

I'm kind of ambivalent about Adam and Queen recording new music together. If they never do, I'm ok with that. If they DO, I'll be happy, of course. Adam's role in Queen puts him in rock history, regardless of whether they record together or not. Adam is by far the longest-running front man they have had since Freddie. Paul Rodgers was actually the ONLY other front man they have had. The others were just short performances here and there.
Adam's legacy is secure when it comes to Queen. And his solo career ain't too shabby, either.
That new close-up of him above is so lovely. His eyes are indescribably beautiful.

I don't think Carrie has ever been one listed or at the top for greatest Idol performers or exciting contestants. What she had going for her was country radio and country fans embraced her and put her on top. When you are on the radio, no matter what you put out, you get to perform on the country award shows that seem to be on every month, lol. Your audience grows and you find yourself having most songs go #1, playing arenas and winning awards. She won more awards when Taylor got out of her way and went pop. But even tho she always got more radio play and won more awards when Taylor left, it was actually Miranda Lambert who won the more prestigious country awards and acclaim for her albums and song writing. But a win is a win and still counts. Carrie never had that much competition for the Grammy awards cause Miranda, without as much radio play, was not as big of a seller or with as many #1 country songs. So Carrie picked up a lot of Grammy's. But it is much easier to win in country than in pop.
BTW, I sure hope if Adam submits Velvet for Grammy consideration that he does not try to get it in the pop category. That is just a lost cause. There have been some Indie artists to win but they seem to be in rock, alt, country and other categories.

It was likely the song they were working on for the BoRap movie that they scrapped because it was not right. I still wonder why Alisan Porter was involved. It is not as if she is known, has written any hit songs let alone rock songs. Friendship with Adam maybe and he got her in? I can't imagine that it was Roger or Brian's idea that they needed her to work with them and Adam to come up with a good rock song for big movie. With all the awards that BoRap won, it would have been so nice for Queen and Adam to have a song in that movie. But oh well it was not meant to be. But great opportunity missed, imo

@eliotraffit: It’s Not Your Voice . . . It’s Your Audience While the experts are still telling people to “Find their Voice”, I advise and coach my clients something quite different, “Find Your Audience.” Adam Lambert has always been - all about the Audience. www.EliotBranding.com Gah! I love that pic...how beautiful is he?

I don't really care one way or the other if QAL record a song, but I am somewhat curious to hear what it was.

Adam was mentioned several times on the Masked Singer last night on FOX as a possibility for the "turtle" by Gordon Ramsey as guest judge. Used a good picture and said he sang for Queen. - I think they were showing reruns - I wasn't paying that much attention as I had it on just to make noise, but it was mentioned in two different episodes back to back. Yes, that must have been some rerun. I had a little time on my hands last weekend and after the show had been mentioned before on here, I checked it out. I think the finale is tomorrow. And while the voice of the Turtle is so obviously not Adam's (and he's also too short to be Adam) I couldn't help but think that whoever designed the costume must have been at least a little inspired by some of Adam's previous looks...
