Where is the perfect place to debut BTIKMS? NYE? Too early? January are many award shows? what would be possible and create the biggest buzz? Will Adam do any Jingle Balls?
Q3, How much of the album/single roll out is DMG and how much is RCA?

With all the good news of the last few days, I decided to delurk for a while. Just for you to have another mark in your beautiful map. I noticed the lack of adamtopians in Portugal! And it is just wrong. By the way, I didn't listen to the demo and I am not going to do that. Just waiting for the real stuff. Great day to delurk! Do lurkers get as exhausted as the regulars do?!  I went to sleep at 4 am with all the excitement last night (this morning?), so I guess lurkers do get exhausted ;-) I made the mistake to listen to the demo, but I will not give my opinion until I listen to Adam singing BTIKM. ??? I can say that I loved FYE from the beginning and still think that its video was the best of the 4. WWFM has not been a favorite of mine. I like it, but I prefer the others in the album. I am :  and ;D at Dick Clarke. Tomorrow will be another Sunday to enjoy Adam!!!!!! |

I actually got to read an entire thread today! Whew..how fun!! I'm gonna be a tad selfish for a second..my hope for a lead single was that Adam would have a co-write. I'm over it... First listen of BTIKM (all these initials..  ), it felt like a Claude confection. Don't get me wrong. I think the man is brilliant. He is just so everywhere...and this is the start of the new? I was quite confused. After I got over myself for the second time, I listened closely and then read the lyrics. The vocal range for this is perfect for Adam and the opportunity for Adam's voice to be front and center is there. I do believe it has been greatly 'Adamized'..and that radio will latch right onto it. The title is easily ingrained and everyone can relate to it. Then the song..the lyrics..  My, my...the basic melody is ear candy and we know that Adam can translate this song in many ways as he did with WWFM. I have a feeling Adam will be singing this song for a VERY long time. Can't wait to see what he has done with it. Adam is excited and if he is excited, you know it had to have evolved just the way he wanted it. Mid-tempo wouldn't surprise me. Adam is presenting at the AMA's!! Well, yeah for that! If Adam can let the past go, so can I. 2009 is gone. I think it is a kick, tho, that ABC is using the FYE vid..LOL..  Happy Birthday to all I have missed and a big Welcome to all de-lurkers too! Great week..EMA's and Queen, OUT100 and Aaron Hinklin, ABC and Dick Clark, AMA's..I mean, really, full circles everywhere. New beginnings..all in time for Adam 2!  This makes me very happy |

Am I the only one that is hoping that they just let bygones be bygones and that they just let that infamous performance be the elephant in the room and have them not mentioned a thing about it? I still have PTSD from that performance and everytime its mentioned I just ff, scroll, bypass the convo, and if they include it somehow in his script, I really don't care how much I love Adam and how good he'll probably look, I won't care to watch. I know I'm being a bit dramatic, but I really hate that performance. And no, I don't think it'll be great if he has a "scripted" kiss on stage. I think that'll be cheesy, stupid, and akin to the media making a joke out of it and him, and just keeping it fresh in peoples mind of the gay dude who kisses dudes on T.V. I want him to move forward not backward. Sorry everyone for being so late, just going through the thread now. Marie, I totally see what you mean about him kissing or pretending to kiss a guy on stage as a presenter at AMA, but I actually really like the idea. I think it could be a PR moment - like, it would draw attention, and also show that he's not afraid of being who he is, his spirit has not been tamed. There was something similar at the VMAs where Britney when she accepted her award almost kissed Gaga who was in drag, and it was a hilarious moment. That was a reference to when Britney kissed Madonna on stage for the VMAs. Britney went really close to Gaga as if to make out with her and then she was like "neah, I've already done that!" It was pretty funny. |
