I am not a moderator. So if that in invalidates my comment so be it. Just because you agree with him politically does not make you a better fan than those who do not share his political opinions.

Some people say that we all should respect the President no matter what, because we should respect "the Office." But our current President does not respect the office himself. He abuses it at every turn. I would think that Adam's fans, of all people, would understand this. Adam's choice to not support this President is grounded in his own observations of the facts and his plain common sense. IMO of course. No President should be followed blindly just because he/she holds the office. I can not respect someone in "Office" who only cares about himself and throws anybody under the bus if it helps him get re-elected. This presidency has turned into an ugly and dangerous game show. It is beyond me how anybody could be an Adam fan and at the same time support the monster in chief and the party that he is affiliated with, and even worse criticize Adam for standing up for his community and other marginalized groups and fight back. It is called survival mode. And it was really hard to understand why some would post their disapproval on his social media over his comments and feelings of hurt and outrage. Then get mad when he says don't follow him, lol. WTF did they expect him to say if you know anything about Adam at all? There is no other side to racism and bigotry and homophobia. If you don't care to hear what he thinks of HeWhoCannot amed then don't listen to him. But shutting him up is not an option. He does not think this sh** that is happening is okay so deal with it. He has been vocal for a long time so it should come as no surprise to anyone that he wants HeWhoCannot amed voted out. And I agree with him. The man is a danger to the world, imo. Trying to pretend that his policies are fine and not harmful is a waste of time for Adam and many of us.

This is not an anti HeWhoCannot amed website. It is an Adam fan site. He has fans of different political and social backgrounds. Like I mentioned in my previous post if Adam just posts something anti HeWhoCannot amed on twitter or Instagram you are welcome to comment at that time. Reposting negative comments about political figures over and over is not what this fan site is all about. Agreed, I haven't been here for a few days and thought I would stop by to see what was happening and I was disappointed to see it's still all about bashing President HeWhoCannot amed and anyone who agrees with him. I went to the trouble to look up the facts about the healthcare issue for the of LGBT community. What has been brought here and stated as fact is only part of the story. Let me just say part of this decision is a result of a negative ruling made by a Federal judge in Texas after the law was challenged.

Well, I AM a mod. May I politely suggest/request/urge you to contact a mod directly if you think something is inappropriate for this forum. Do not tell the forum directly what to post or not post.
This is a very difficult time for citizens of the US and around the world. Emotions and opinions run high. Then, when you add what Adam has been saying on instagram and twitter and in interviews, it is natural for members of this forum to respond. After all, that is what we always do with Adam's media.
It is hard to know where to draw the line for this forum. May I suggest that, if you feel moved to comment on what Adam is saying, you do so by addressing the comment directly. As an example, you could say "I respect Adam for sharing his opinion, but I disagree with him." Or, "Right on, Adam! It needs to be said." Rather than making a more general comment about the President and his fitness for office or his character. And especially rather than commenting on how Adam fans should feel about the President if they are truly Adam fans.
My other suggestion is to ask yourself before you post, "Why do I feel compelled to post this opinion HERE? What am I hoping to accomplish? Am I just venting? Do I think I will actually change opinions here, and do I need to?" If your answer to those questions is not something that will enhance this forum, then, hit CANCEL, rather than CREATE POST.
Please remember this is an Adam fan site, not a political forum. You have a perfect right to express your opinions and feelings online, but please find a different forum to do so.

The hot-button political and social issues right now DO have to do with Adam and his own beliefs and concerns. If they didn't, we wouldn't be talking about them here. He has shared a lot of his views on social media. Nobody has to agree with him, but we discuss them here in direct relation to how we know Adam feels. I think it's ok to discuss them now and then, esp. since they are still very current news. (and may be so for quite a while) I don't think Adam has spoken his last word on these topics. Adam's music is only one of many reasons I follow him. He's a whole person, not just a singer.

Let me just say part of this decision is a result of a negative ruling made by a Federal judge in Texas after the law was challenged. Sorry, I couldn't find any Texas LGBTQ heath care case other than one that hasn't been decided yet by the Supreme Court so if you have that link I'd love to read it. I do want to share some links regarding this issue. Some feel that this is a continuation of the attacks against the Affordable Care Act (also known as Obamacare). This article does mention a Texas case being reviewed possibly this fall by the Surpreme court and talks about why LGBTQ people were worried even before the latest administration "rule" www.ebar.com/news/latest_news//289216 I greatly appreciate the ACA, which my family has been on for the last 3 years. I've been a young person with no idea how to get health care and you know as women you are pretty much required to see a doc every 6 months or a year. I've been an expectant mom on a employer provided plan that only paid $5000 toward any and all pregnancy costs (luckily without complications it only cost us twice that because it had no maximum out of pocket). Here is an NPR article on the new administration rule and concerns about the timing of it (beyond the optics of pride month but looking when congress could review it) and how some LGBTQ think it could effect them if health care reverts to how they were served by heath professionals before. www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2020/06/12/868073068/transgender-health-protections-reversed-by-HeWhoCannot amed-administration

cassie, I posted by last post just before I saw yours. You are absolutely right. I try to relate my comments to what Adam himself has said. If I have failed, I apologize. I try to include Adam in my posts.
I love this site and I want it to be a great place to be a part of. Thank you for your comments, cassie.
