I think most Adam fans recognize that Freddie is a great vocalist. Some just like Adam's vocals better. But I think it is more the other way around that some won't give Adam credit because they think it takes away from Freddie. I'll admit I pay more attention to Adam and QAL because he is performing with Queen now. But I will sometimes go back to watch Queen in the past (Live Aid I really enjoy) but not as a comparison. And not to prove that Freddie is better than Adam. I just like Adam's voice, and sexy performance style better. I sometimes will go back and watch Queen, Elvis or Led Zep, when the mood hits me, because fans still rave about them. But I'm not going to spend a lot of time on nostalgia when there is so much material out there now with Adam or Adam with Queen. And I actually follow Adam and have seen them in person and can't say the same for the others. I think they are wonderful but I guess my interests are not too much on what was big in the past. That Lambert dude takes up too much of my time as it is, lol. I was a young adult during Queen's heyday with Freddie and yes, he was amazing and paved the way for so many but now I prefer Adam because of that gorgeous voice and his gracious stage presence. Back in the day, it was all about Freddie and I never realized what talents Brian and Roger are. Of course now I have a crush on Brian🙄(what an amazing man). I can't help thinking that Freddie was a rough cut gem and Adam is the polished version. They are both outstanding performers.

So sorry to confuse you all about Killer Queen. I think I watched wayyyy too many QAL videos really late at night, may be mixed in with a bit of wishful thinking on my part, that made me think KQ was part of the watch party. Thankfully, there were other highlights

It never fails, when I finally find something interesting to watch, either somebody calls, or hubby comes home and I need to finish dinner.

Yup, I totally fell down the rabbit hole last night, especially as I was pretty busy throughout the weekend and finally had time to myself. I definitely get what you mean by "distractions" whenever there is something interesting to watch. That happened to me during the "The Show Must Go On" QAL documentary when it was shown on TV a while ago. Anyways, while indulging in Adam last night, I came upon this old gem that I happened to watch more than once... youtu.be/B7o4v_WNac0

I've been catching up on posts and am glad to see I'm not the only one going back to watch older videos of Adam. Maybe it's a combination of seeing the documentary for the 4rd time, having more time these days because my job (with a symphony orchestra) will be one of the last to go back to work, and feeling nostalgic, but for the past week I've gone back to watch a lot of the older Adam videos including his entire AI journey, the Rock My Town videos, many radio promo interviews and acoustic performances from 2014 - 2018 - I didn't remember he had done a Bob Marley song in Melbourne at a radio event, LOL, but it was fabulous. Anyway, I'm struck over and over again with how gracious, mature, kind, well-spoken, so at ease with people and completely adorable he was and is. His vocal prowess was so incredible that from the first, the judges and some mentors on AI (Quentin Tarantino, Jamie Fox, Smokey Robinson), were incredulous that he hadn't already been signed and of course, all predictions were for a major career Lady Gaga type career. And though I'm still a bit frustrated that Adam didn't reach the kind of fame level were he sells arenas as a solo act or gets Grammy nominations and chances to perform on the AMA's or Grammy shows, or that Velvet didn't stay in the top 10 sellers for weeks as it so richly deserves, I've accepted that he has enough of us who adore him and will always be fans and support him in every way we can. Plus I think he wins over more people all the time thanks to his amazing talent and fabulous personality.
We'll see if his shows in Oct. go ahead. I called the hotel today and was told to hold off on buying concert tickets until later in the summer, as the Covid cases are on the rise in Nevada and they can't guarantee that Adam's shows will happen.
I also have a question which I hope you guys can help with. I want to donate to Global Citizen for a chance at the Adam meeting but when I go to the page and login with my Facebook account, it then seems to be that I have to "Make a sign that says #DefeatDiseaseTogether 2. Take a picture of yourself holding it 3. Click "CHOOSE A FILE" to upload 4. Click "Submit"
before I can continue and donate something. I don't have the material or desire, really, to make a sign and upload a photo, so is there a way to donate without doing this? Has anyone been successful entering the contest without this step?

Watch from roughly 25mins to 33..... Freddie really did have some spectacular pipes....I think we tend to not give him credit as we fear that takes away from Adam...but it does not and Adam would be the first to say that. I have never heard this bit..... If you want to hear Freddie's true opera voice check out the video "Exercises In Free Love". Um, OPERA? Nope. Not even close. But if you enjoy it, go for it.
