I just got a delightful email from my Arkansas friends who never really 'got' my Adam fanship. The just watched TSMGO on Netflix:
"I had begun watching The Show Must Go On a day or so ago because DH was in the garage and I figured he wouldn't be interested. But I barely got started before I had to stop. So tonight we sat down to watch something and I brought that up but figured DH would protest. Well...long story short, now he can't stop talking about Adam and how talented he is and how awesome it is that he's the front person for these old icons and how their tour is a demonstration of how we need the old hippies to work alongside the younger generation in order to change the world and this mess we're in here in the U.S. I am pleased by his response.
That's what struck me as much as the talent, i.e., just being able to step into that role, not just in terms of his talent and his range, but also the level of confidence and authenticity that required. And the fact that he's doing it in such Adam style and color. I mean, Brian May has had the same hair style, literally, for decades. And here's gorgeous Adam in all his flaunting beauty singing out his heart and soul on those stages, in front of those masses of people, right next to these old, gray haired hippie icons is a hopeful visual for me. You know? Like maybe we can bridge the gap. Maybe the young voters will save us this November. If Adam's people and Queen's people can come together for music on that massive scale then perhaps they can come together politically, environmentally. You know what I mean?"
What a great message to wake up to this morning, after a perfectly lovely day yesterday driving off island to Fiercelier's beautiful home to sit and lunch-visit, with Happy, like life was almost normal! LOL. Life is good!

MSZUE, your post made my day as well!!! I've been through a harrowing experience over the past 11 days. A raging forest fire came very close to my home in Colorado - it's a miracle that our house is still standing. I was evacuated with my kitty for five days, and due to our (and particularly my DH's) fire mitigation efforts and the valiant work on the part of all the firefighters, our home was saved. MOMTOMANY, can't help but think of your horrible forest fire experiences. But you survived and thrived through it all, and I take that as a wonderful example for me to follow.
I'm thrilled at the response from TSMGO on Netflix - seems like SO many new Adam fans! And MSZUE, the message from your Arkansas friends was so very touching - brought tears to my eyes. Thanks so much for sharing. And being able to get together with your wonderful fellow Glamberts (whom I met in Vegas during the Crown Jewels residency) was so heartwarming to hear. I need this good news in my present shell-shocked state.
Adam and Adamtopia continue to be my lifelines!!!

@lambritsuk: From post earlier ‘who had bought tickets from fan site for Wembley ‘Many have replied & are astounded at deduction on refund for delivering service/processing order. A service no one has had. Very disappointing 😒 @shoshannastone This can’t be right ? @scarlettbrown89: @lambritsuk @shoshannastone I’ve had 7.75 taken from each of the 3 64.50 tickets I bought (23.25 total) & apparently fees were deducted as the club had ‘delivered a service’ but all they did was send two emails! The show was cancelled & it was not my choice so it should be a full refund, no questions asked! twitter.com/scarlettbrown89/status/1276192669505642498/photo/1@elaine128: @lambritsuk @shoshannastone I've been refunded £17.50 less than I paid. I am not happy - if I have to go to Trading Standards I will do. I've just about had enough of this shower that can't get anything right. People I know who booked with other ticket agencies got a full refund. @shellstar79: @lambritsuk @shoshannastone £56 deducted for just 2 tickets bought through the fanclub, while AXS are refunding everything in full. My friend has had over £80 taken off. Seems really unfair tbh when very little service was provided. We don't even have a phone number we can contact anyone with. @mrsdobbin: @lambritsuk @shoshannastone I was refunded months ago (pre-CV) for a system error their end when purchasing and they still only refunded my minus admin fees. What with this and the fact that pre-sale was such a con to fans in the first place... disgusting really. Adam is being let down IMO.
