Sad to see Vegas officially cancelled. And I must say I’m slowly losing interest in all virtual everything. This year is just turning into a complete write off. I think people r overwhelmed with streaming options & I know it can never replace the live experience. I do wonder, if there's never an effective COVID vaccine, how we're going to get back to live performances were people feel safe. Spacing in a hall can work, but drastically reduces the revenue for a show. We've been discussing this for hours with the Vancouver Symphony management and musicians to see what's doable because we need to keep live music going or many groups could be shut down forever. In Germany and Holland concerts are starting to happen again, but then, they're ahead of us in flattening the curve. I wonder how many Adam fans would pay for an online mini-show were he performs with a small group of musicians & maybe answers some audience questions?

Adam had a really long slot on the national News! Sorry I can’t bring it here but I know someone will....he looked good! Talking about Pride, BLM and his foundation. Yes, he certainly is everywhere...

Good lord, he's everywhere !!! Just saw down below the tweet about a roundtable, which includes Adam, LP and Conchita. Wow, that sounds super interesting. I can't wait to listen to it. Yes, that definitely does sound interesting. Quite an impressive roster of artists participating! I assume it was organized by the FSF/Adam? I couldn't tell for sure if it is a FSF-sponsored event, or if FSF was publicizing it because of Adam's involvement, but since it's going to be broadcast on Adam's YouTube channel I'm guessing it's the former rather than the latter. I'm going to be honest - I was afraid the FSF would be like the first iteration of the fan club. You know, started with high hopes and an apparent commitment, only to fizzle out in relatively short order due to neglect. I didn't think it boded well when the official announcement was made before the site was even set up to accept donations. But while it's still early days, it looks like Adam is serious about using the foundation to make a difference, and will keep putting the effort in to make it viable and effective. I'm very happy about that. Not so happy about the Vegas cancellation, although I didn't like the idea of either Adam or the audience taking such a chance - and I didn't like the idea of sparsely attended performances, either. I will never get over how badly affected this whole era has been by the pandemic - the timing truly couldn't have been worse. I'm sure Adam was thrilled about both the Vegas residency and the co-tour with Xtina, just to name a couple of high profile endeavors he lost that probably will not come around again for the Velvet era. Nothing to be done about it, but I'm still so sad for him. I had held off buying tickets to the Vegas shows because a week ago, the hotel concierge said that they weren't sure about the show going ahead. Even though it's 4 months off, I guess it's better to pull the plug now than still have people buying tickets for a concert that was not 100% confirmed. I agree about the lousy timing. I've been listening to all of Adam's albums while not working, and I do think that, Velvet is by far the best because the material is so strong (his vocals are always stellar). It sucks because so many marketing and performance opportunities went down the drain, and perhaps with it, the chance for the album to stay in the top 10 iTunes sellers or Billboard or whatever marks a successful album these days. The reason that matters, is because without commercial success, Velvet will probably be overlooked for Grammy and other nominations and that sux, because Adam SO deserves to be recognized and to be on that Grammy stage. I can't help but be irritated that he gets overlooked while far lesser talents get the awards, exposure and financial returns.

Too bad, that Adam now has to cancel all his concerts for this year. But it was foreseeable. Now I hope, that 2021 will be better... Do you have „Drive-In“ concerts, where you live? Here in Germany are more and more artists, who do concerts in places that are usually used as Drive-In Cinemas. It’s new and the artists have to get used to the fact, that people aren’t close. And instead of clapping, people honk. 😁 But in the end, fans can enjoy the music in their cars and, see the artist and the artists can make money. If you cannot imagine, what this looks like, here is a report from a German morning show about one of the first concerts. youtu.be/6jIgUj6JIpk
