Sadly, undoing the travel plans to Vegas from October. United Airlines would only issue a travel voucher, although at least it's good for 24 months. Hotel's reservation system was down, so will have to try that again tomorrow. On the other hand (and hoping that the northeast US will keep infections down) we arranged for a beach house in Rhode Island in mid-august for us, the kids and grandkids. This could be an adventure. 11 adults and 3 munchkins.

It's been a rather emotional week for me, more so than most days the past three months. Besides the "monsters" that we are currently fighting with uncertainty, it did make me sad to see the official confirmation by Adam that "Velvet" in concert won't happen. This weekend, I will watch the two December shows again that I was lucky to attend here in California. Happiest memories. That was it for me too. With all the cancellations, this one hit me the hardest cause I was holding on to an irrational hope. I just watched the entire Global Citizen QAL performances. And when the show ended, one of the MSNBC news ladies said that was Queen with Adam Lambert. He was a contestant on Idol and didn't even win and now he is the lead singer of one of the biggest bands in the world (something like that). I heard that when the performance was first broadcast but I teared up when I heard it again. Makes me miss QAL even more. But I have been re-watching some of those Dec shows too and the NY show. Adam at his absolute best as a solo artist, imo. But I think tonight will be another TSMGO from Netflix. It is keeping me sane, lol. Somehow reality just kicked in for me when I saw Adam's typed up message. I don't want to be overly dramatic but I think there was something about holding on to that little fantasy leading up to October ... I agree that that the December shows were magnificent and for me only some of the TOH concerts came close.
