Just got notified that Spotify is available on X1- Comcast. After I spent 20 minutes fiddling around with my password! I now have Velvet streaming on Spotify to test it out. Sound is way better than other stuff I have.
Also got a notice that my expected delivery date for Velvet vinyl is July 11th!

That title Defund Police has caused many not to get on board who would otherwise support a change in structure and funding. I can't believe they have not come up with a better and more accurate slogan.
After watching TSMGO on Netflix for I don't know how many times now, I switched over to watch that series on young musicians trying to make it in Hollywood. Two of the characters are Pia, a former American Idol contestant and Adam's friend Austin Kolby. Wow, I'm surprised that Austin is so unlikable. Arrogant, cocky and preening. Most of those in the cast with him don't like him either. When it was filmed, they said he was 22 so maybe that contributes to his know it all and I'm better than the others here attitude. Or maybe that he ran away from home at 14 and had to take care of himself is a factor. That is really young to be out there on your own. And I'll give him a little pass on the preening (could be a defense mechanism) because he is seriously trying to accomplish something with his music. And not just saying look at me, look at me just because I think I'm beautiful and sexy, lol. Now maybe some of it is scripting but all of it can't be. I remember Pia from AI and she did have a lot of promise but after getting a record deal her career went no place. So when she cries about the disappointment of not making it after the fanfare from Idol, that rings very true. She was one they made feel that she would be a star and it didn't happen. She feels she is running out of time and has not lived up to expectations. I have a few more episodes to watch before I'm finished so it will be interesting to see when they go with this. But it is rather hard watching all these characters who want stardom so bad but you know most, if any, will never get it. One part I did love was they showed the producers wedding. He said as a kid he would pray to God to make him straight and God never answered and now he was marrying the man of his dreams. AWWW!

I'm not sure who that reviewer was, but he was so authentic and believable! I thought it was amazing and I'm so proud of our beautiful Adam!! All true!! It's so funny that people find him so " normal" , and yet , Adam finds that so " not complimentary"!! He's so normal" , and yet so unique! Normal, yes, but more than that, unique!! What a beautiful man!!

It is unlikely that most are or were outsiders. Many of us are drawn to his big talent, gorgeous looks, sexy and charismatic persona and his advocacy for his community. And he seems a good and authentic guy. Now I will admit that I don't often have a lot of interest in the people he finds interesting but I'm following him and not them anyway so that matters little.

Happy 4th of July! Weird times! We are half way through 2020 and it is reminding me of that curse that says "May you live in interesting times."
A few weeks ago, we were talking about a better phrase for Defund the Police. I saw one in my newspaper recently that was Re-think the Police. It was in an article about the obvious need for police for violent and property crimes, but their role in mental health matters should be reviewed.
