Re yesterday's discussion:
What Adam needs and has are supportive fans no matter the age. If some don't see anything he does as important enough, what good is that for him regardless the age? A $30M net worth says Adam is relevant in the business even if he does it his way and not the way others think he should do it. Is his relevance really in question? It is not by his fans or the media or those in the industry. He is not going for the teen or twenty something market tho they are welcomed. But those days have long passed, if they were ever there in the first place. So fans 60 years old or older or younger are not the problem. He and all artists need fans. Period. And I think we all hope there will be live performances from Adam when things are better. I think all fans are expecting these artists to get back out there when it is safe. Adam was forced to take a break the same as every other artist. It was not because of lack of interest or the age of his fans.
Adam is offering the membership for a reason so approval is not needed. No one is forced to make a purchase. But even younger fans can afford the $10 if they want a membership. It is not for him to make money but to show support, so he is offering exclusive content. It may give some a reason to join. It is just getting off the ground and he is trying to build. We can make the purchase of not. There is no requirement for anyone who doesn't want to. And Adam is a good man and all his fans, regardless of age, are welcomed by him. They can't be run away by anyone because they are HIS fans and not theirs. They will buy the music. Purchase concert tickets. Buy merchandise. And anything they want to purchase because they can and want to. We are all his fans so that is what we do, lol.

We can put the age factor aside I believe ,If we just look at Queen and their success with all ages.

There have been trolls since the beginning of AI with the ageism. We've heard about it ever since Adam came on the AI scene. There used to be a particularly nasty one on the AI forum when I first started following Adam.
The funny thing is, they only ever turn up on any forum to say nasty stuff. They don't participate in any other conversations...very telling IMO.

I joined because I support Adam and for me $10 is a pretty cheap way of showing appreciation and Gelly posting or not posting something is not going to affect my membership. Good grief! It's a trip to Starbucks for me and as to younger fans; that's a drop in the bucket. Many teens think nothing of dropping over $100 at Sephora. I also contribute monthly to the Feel Something Foundation because that is something Adam is very committed to. If you are having trouble getting logged in; call tech support. It's what they are there for.

I also contribute monthly to the Feel Something Foundation because that is something Adam is very committed to. If you are having trouble getting logged in; call tech support. It's what they are there for. In yesterday's thread, pi brought over some tweets from skaschep that made valuable points about why fans posting exclusive content to social media actually does matter. Adam undoubtedly did not decide to resurrect the fan club on a whim; he's looking to get something out of it, and it isn't the money. Probably not even increasing fandom engagement, although that would be a good and valuable thing. I'm sure it's mainly about the data, and driving traffic to the website is the only way to get that data. Fans getting the hits on their own YouTube channels or Instagram pages or Twitter feed may be nice for them but does little for Adam. If fans want to help, when Adam posts exclusive content, they should post something to that effect on social media and tell people to go to the website to check it out...not post it themselves so there's no need to go to the website at all. ETA: I've been thinking about why this issue of posting exclusive content to social media bothers me so much. It isn't the notion that dammit, I paid my $10 so I should get all the thingsies (hell, until Wonderful Union gets back to me, I can't even access the site to begin with). I've concluded it's because fans are taking it upon themselves to directly go against the wishes of Adam and his team. If Adam wants something to be available to all, he has a variety of social media accounts to which he can post - and he does. If he chooses not to do that, but posts to the fan club site - particularly to the restricted area of the site - he does it for a reason. I wish fans would respect that.

I really love Velvet the whole album. It bears repeating. I went on my walk today and listened to most of it without skipping a song. It is absolutely terrific, which I honestly cannot say for any other album. He really picked the best songs on this one, no fillers. Also, the music video for Velvet is great, I love watching it, it is close to 5mil now: www.youtube.com/watch?v=E53PkThqKDEI wonder what he filmed recently... Could it be a new song? And if so, could he release the song plus a music video at the same time, like he did with all the Velvet songs: New Eyes, Comin in Hot, Superpower, Velvet?
