That "what celebs hate Adam" article is kind of dumb IMO. It takes 3 instances from a decade ago and rehashes old crap. Obviously a slow news day for them lol. Guess Gene Simmons was wrong lol. HA! At one time gene Simmons was putting some twitter person in their place when they criticized Adam fronting Queen. It was rather surprising and nice to see him say Queen made a wise choice for a frontman. Beautiful picture of Adam at the top!!!!!!

Of the three celebrities listed in that story, really only one - Clay Aiken - probably dislikes Adam on a personal level (and the feeling is certainly mutual). Gene Simmons is an odd duck, and IMO his reactions to Adam involve both ignorance and ego. I remember Adam received a lot of rave reviews for his finale performance with KISS, and I think it ticked Gene off a little. One review or article mentioned that "KISS performed with Adam Lambert," and Gene had to say no, Adam performed with KISS...meaning KISS was the main attraction and Adam just a supporting act. Not only petty, but actually wrong in that case, because the spotlight was intended to be on Adam - it was his night. His season of Idol. His celebration. KISS was brought on to help him celebrate. It's a distinction Adam recognizes very well, as evidenced by his behavior each and every time he has performed with a contestant on a finale of one of these shows. He never makes it about him. And of course there was also Gene's comment at the time that Adam didn't have a "rock voice." LOL! But all that said, I've never gotten the impression Gene actually dislikes Adam. And I do vaguely remember him complimenting Adam more than once in the years since. Adam Levine was just being his usual douchetastic self. I don't think he cared enough one way or the other to actually dislike Adam. He just didn't give a shit, and probably still doesn't.

Only a year ago QAL did The Forum in LA. Seems like eons ago. I like this video, it captures the excitement of the beginning of the show imo: www.youtube.com/watch?v=qObDtjEli48By the way, I still can't find TSMGO on Netflix here, in my part of the world...

He was just sharing his conviction (which wasn't exactly wrong) that announcing you are gay was a career suicide in America's entertainment industry. The fact that Adam survived is a testament to his talent and character, but also the exception to the rule back in 2009. Anyone else in his shoes would have failed. If you remember the backstage videos of KISS in costumes waiting in front of the monitors to hear the winner announced and their reaction when Adam lost, I would say they were rooting from Adam to succeed. So what he did in the Rolling Stone magazine was unexpected by those days' standards, and generally the Kiss of Death (no pun intended). Gene was just sharing his common knowledge of the industry in that interview, and I suspect he is glad he was wrong... my 2 cents.

I wouldn't say Levine dislikes Adam but there was certainly something going on. How can you say someone sang something better if you never heard the song or claim you didn't know who sang it? When Tessanne Chin was on Levine's team (the eventual winner) she was a Lambert fan. She planned to sing WWFM in one of her final performances and she said in an interview, that Levine walked into her rehearsal and told her to change the song. Then when one of Levine's favorite contestant's was given a Queen song by Levine to sing, after his performance Levine said that Queen would be wise to call him to be their frontman. Of course Adam was already the frontman but maybe Levine was unaware of that fact too, lol.
As for Gene Simmons, it was unrealistic for Adam to pretend he was not gay. He had been out since he was 18. It was all over the press when he was competing. How stupid it was for anyone to expect him to deny who he was when everyone already knew. That would have been a career mistake and cause so much media and fan outrage for Adam. There would have been no peace for him. His credibility would have been questioned by everyone. He had no choice but to take his chances. His own well being would have been hurt otherwise.

I renewed my Adam Fanclub membership recently and forgot to write down my password. No problem, they immediately sent me an email and let me reset it. Since there has been so much talk about the fanclub, I just wanted to see what all it had. I liked it. I even signed up (I think) for the signed photo of Adam and ordered some FS tees. To my surprise, my original nickname was still there. I was wondering how I was gong to change my email addess; I didn't want to be like the fan whose whole info showed up. I'll keep going back to see what all I can learn. Still like it here the most.

Ads today are saying now streaming globally. Not sure what that includes exactly. I know! Queen Online says: " 'The Show Must Go On - The Queen + Adam Lambert Story' is now streaming globally across most of Netflix. The only exceptions are: UKIE, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba, Sudan, South Sudan, and Crimea/Sevastopol", and yet, I still can't find it here. I hope it gets here at some point soon.

That would have been a career mistake and cause so much media and fan outrage for Adam. There would have been no peace for him. His credibility would have been questioned by everyone. He had no choice but to take his chances. His own well being would have been hurt otherwise. According to the article, Levine said he was unfamiliar with the song, but thought Nakia's performance elevated it and that he likely sang it better than the original artist. Translation - whether he was honestly unfamiliar with WWFM or not, it seems he didn't care for the song itself (which would also explain why he told Tessanne Chin to change it), but saw a chance to blow smoke up the contestant's ass like these judges and coaches have the obvious tendency to do. I'd put the critique of the contestant who sang the Queen song in that same "blow smoke up the contestant's ass" category. I doubt it was intended as any kind of commentary on Adam as Queen's front man. The identity of Queen's front man wouldn't have mattered unless it were Freddie himself, in which case I doubt he would have said that. FWIW, Nakia was, and remains, a big fan of Adam's. Agree about Adam having little choice about coming out. He'd been living as an out, extremely social gay man in Los Angeles for a decade. There was no hiding. There was no trying to play the "my private life is my own business" card. There was certainly no option to play straight, even if he'd wanted to (which of course he never in a million years would have wanted). The photos were circulated all over the place before the Top 12 (actually 13) were even chosen. He played the hand he was dealt, by circumstance and his own personality, and despite the inevitable roller coaster ride that resulted, he prevailed.
