My two Cents: science is non negotiable. You can choose to ignore it, but it will slap you in the face. It doesnt care about anything...Economic, social, religous status. Adam has said many Times, that he doesnt mind people having other peoples believes, If they have a more conservative view on his sexuality for example, it Just crosses a Line, when that trades into actual law and directly affects people. If we're honest HeWhoCannot amed is No surprise. He's not the product of a few years prior to his canditacy, but the product of decades of same old same old, broken promises. People feel unrepresented and that is the void that extremists fill. A great socio-economic divide always destabalises society and politics. HeWhoCannot amed didnt become President because "half of America" voted for him. He became President because half of the people eligable to vote said f- it... it's not even worth it and never even cast a vote in the first place. It's been a good day and I don't want to end today's thread on a "negative" note, however I would like to acknowledge that you provided an important perspective. I agree that it is mere self perseverance for Adam and those who support him and his community to stand up against politicians who systematically try to oppress their right for equality. And that's just one aspect of injustice that goes beyond general political beliefs. HeWhoCannot amed in relation to "Biden Celebration For Change" today. I knew what we were in for when he was elected, and we certainly didn't need a pandemic on top of it. But may be we did to wake up? Biden was not my first choice but I trust that he can heal and unite if he gets the chance to lead, and in that case I hope that he will be in a position to advance real change that addresses the root of major inequalities. I agree with you that disillusionment is what gave us HeWhoCannot amed - some simply didn't care enough to vote and thus empowered him, while others counted on him to "make America great again". I am still hopeful that increasingly more MAGAs will realize that HeWhoCannot amed is the last person who would pull them out of their holes and improve their lives, as I can't see a lot of "freedom" in the danger of losing health insurance and coverage of basic needs when the job goes. Enough said.

Enough said. There were many things that went wrong that caused HeWhoCannot amed to win. At the last minute Comey pulled the email crap and re-opened the non-case against Hillary. Then you had the third party candidates who took away more than enough votes to give it to HeWhoCannot amed. Some from the Democratic party who were mad that Hillary got the nomination, voted for the third party candidates too. Then there was the Russia interfering. I hope we are not pretending it never happened because HeWhoCannot amed stalled Muller at every turn. Voter suppression and not allowing many to vote (who wanted to vote) with their underhanded tactics of throwing people off the voteing roles. Closing polling places in heavy minority and Democratic districts and forcing people to wait as much as 8 hrs. Mrs. Clinton got 3M more votes than HeWhoCannot amed so it is not as if the majority just wanted HeWhoCannot amed. They are working hard to suppress the vote again with trying to stop vote by mail. There will be many barriers put up to try to keep this man in office but I hope we are up for the challenge this time. We have lived this thing and I think many know what went wrong and don't need to be told. And it was not all this love for HeWhoCannot amed that put him in office, lol.

@lurleene, of course a lot of stuff went wrong that added to the unfortunate outcome in 2016, and I am certainly not denying anything. I am still very concerned regarding the 2020 elections. On top of voter suppression in various forms, I also think that the popular vote would be a much more accurate representation.

Agreed sizzling63 let's end on a positive note, so let me try to turn this positive or at least better! @lurleene voter suppression is a Major issue as well, absolutely correct! Therefore i also adore Trevor Noah, he's repediately called for junger folks to volunteer at polling stations because many older poll workers are understandibly pulling out due to the pandemic. I can only agree with several others on Trevor Noah. He's intelligent, eloquent and i just love how he can analyse a situation and lay down a perspective.

I am so happy to see and hear Adam support Joe Biden. Adam is so brilliantly gifted in so many ways, not just his voice. So, I left my little positive comment on the fb page, but - honestly- the state of this nation (US) has me too deeply depressed for even Adam to lift my heart for long.

@lurleene the third Party voter, spoiler argument truly trubles me. It leaves me baffeled startled and stunned. How can a country that seems to put individual freedom above everything else blame and shame people for voting who feel is best fit! Everyone is free to vote for who they want, that's what makes a democracy! I know that how the votes are counted they can help candidates of the two Major Parties but that's the systems fault, not the voters fault.

I know that how the votes are counted they can help candidates of the two Major Parties but that's the systems fault, not the voters fault. Unfortunately, once the primaries are over and each party has nominated their presidential candidate the only votes that count in the general election are for either one of the two presidential candidates. It is almost guaranteed at this point that in August Biden will be officially nominated for the Democrats, which means that he will be up against HeWhoCannot amed in November. Anybody not voting for Biden will indirectly give HeWhoCannot amed the vote.
