The AMAS well always be part of his legacy. For better or for worse. Better embracing it. I wouldn't change it for thr world. He may have sacrificed commercial success in the States. But its the moment he was liberated and became Adam Lambert. I always felt if he just did a nice little Ballad. Be just another David Cook. Instead he became an international star. Just gotta say, I always find your comments refreshing. They add tremendous value to our discussions in the bubble that we are all in. Adam did what he needed to do back then, and it has contributed to his journey and who he is now. I don't think most even care about the AMA's re Adam now. Just hate to see some guy always harping on it like it was the end of the world or something. If you can't talk to him about it face to face, what is the point in stressing over it after he leaves? And no worry about Adam becoming a David Cook. Adam was bigger and had more press and buzz than Cook ever did when he was competing on the show, lol. Let us not forget that David Cook is NO Adam Lambert with or without the AMA's. Cook is more in company with KA but just a bit more exciting, imo. No one that I have ever heard put him on the Adam level. The AMA's did not make Adam the star he is. It was Adam and his vocals and showmanship that did. There was international interest in him when he was on the show. People from the UK came to interview him before the idol tour was even over. He was going to be an international star with or without it. And Queen was going to come a calling with or without it. Adam was a force. Period. And yes the event hurt him in the US, HIS home country. But he went on to do great things and become a source of inspiration anyway.

Hello all, It's been a while. TSMGO was finally added to Netflix Israel and I was able to watch it for the first time last night. I'm so happy to see the relationship between Adam, Brian and Roger. So much mutual respect and admiration[img style="max-width:100%;" src=" . Wow those Idol moments brought it all back. Who knew it was so long ago? What a ride it has been. Adam has accomplished so much. My husband walked into the room after the film ended and I announced that I will fly to see Adam when he (hopefully) tours Velvet. He was not pleased. I don't care. He knew who he married It was great to see Lyndsey Parker as part of this movie. She is such an Adam supporter [img class="smile" style="max-width:100%;" alt=" " src=" PS I had no idea why the ABC guy was a part of this film . I still hold the AMA backlash against them . Angelkrash....how great to see you here! You have been missed....I love it when I see your avi...it is one of my favorites. And, congratulations are in order I see...now that you are married! He will come to appreciate Adam too, hopefully. That film was great wasn't it!

The AMAs have been one of my favorite sources of Alternate Universe conjectures since that fateful November evening. What would have happened if Adam had performed FYE exactly as rehearsed? Even without the kiss and pushing the dancer's head into his crotch, it was still a world away from the Adam Lambert people saw on Idol. What would have happened if RCA had its way and he'd sung WWFM as his lead single? What would have happened if he'd had a different lead single altogether? (Alternate Universe conjecture, subchapter A: What if he'd changed the lyric in "Fever" from "There he goes..." to "There you go..." and released "Fever" as the lead single?).
One thing I've always wondered about is why someone as focused on vocals, and as experienced with his voice, as Adam went with FYE as the lead single. Sure, it was edgy and as far from an "Idol single" as one could get, which was undoubtedly why he wanted it. But it was not a song meant to be sung live. It was originally intended for Britney Spears, for heaven's sake. Even without the controversial aspects of the performance, the vocals were so far from what he was capable of. I find it impossible to believe he didn't know that would be the case. From what I remember reading at the time, the rehearsals didn't sound much better than the actual performance. IMO it took years for him to manage a credible live version of FYE. It's one reason I wish he'd made the lyric change - not to "she," just to the usual "you" - to enable him to release "Fever". It was a true pop song, it was a fun song he could do a lot with (even without the Tommy tonsil hockey), and he could sing it! Maybe it was too closely identified with Gaga and he didn't want to encourage the whole Lord Gaga thing, I don't know. And I know it doesn't matter because that isn't what he did. But I still wonder...

Adam was a part of these the previous year. They have since had a Kennedy Honor's (Carrie performed at the last one) and Oscar (Janeal Monea? performed). So wouldn't Rickey be nominated for the more current shows?

twitter.com/esosiquetetengo/status/1288245228479172609Translated from Spanish I just saw on #Netflix the documentary The show must go on, the Queen + Adam Lambert Story. I was surprised at how round it is. I enjoyed it a lot. If you are fans of the band, the artist or both, you will surely like it.
