I sure would be nice is Adam got the OZ judging gig. Pretty high profile. Media attention. Nice paycheck. Good thing to have on his resume. He has a strong fan base in Australia. I know it's not in the US, but still. In order to stay in the game, you have to play. The timing would likely not work out anyway. We don't know what Shosh is referring to with her comment about Adam being busy in 2021 with things other than QAL. I just hope it's true.
Still can't figure out Idol's steadfast resistance to hiring Adam as an actual judge. He's done a lot on that show. Frequent guest performer. Mentor. Substitute judge. He's one of their biggest success stories. Go figure. Are the singing competition shows kind of running their course? I know The Voice in the US is doing Ok. And Idol is hanging in there. But overall, it seems that the big vibe is just not there anymore. (I'm not talking about this particular year with the virus interference. I'm talking about generally over the past five or six years.) And the winners don't seem to become big stars. I know there are plenty of young singers out there with big hopes and dreams, but maybe the public is suffering from singing show fatigue.

In reference to yesterday's posts concerning refunds for Vegas, I didn't have to contact either Ticketmaster or my credit card company. The credit just suddenly appeared on my credit card statement. I purchased all of my tickets in February. Hopefully those still waiting will receive them soon!
Concerning the Voice AU, hope that Adam can get the judging job - he is such a natural, and does such an amazing job as a mentor and judge. And the publicity would be great!

Do we actually know that it isn't Adam declining to be a judge? I don't watch or follow Idol, so an honest question.

Didn’t he say in an interview this year(?) that Idol has never even asked him to be a judge beyond the time he filled in for Keith Urban during auditions?

I do remember Adam saying that he had never been asked to be a real judge on AI. Don't remember how long ago that was. He may not even care at this point. But again, I go back to my question about Idol's "steadfast resistance" to inviting him to be a judge. He sure has proven that he can do the job and he's damn good at it. Idol has always puzzled me. Haven't watched a whole season since season 8 and after that I've only watched when Adam has been on.

I really hate this particular competition but it is 100% easier to do on a desktop. I gave up or had the system pop me out numerous times till I got on the desktop...then it is fast and relatively easy. ymmv fyi Adam needs a lot of votes...he is well behind...
