I think my favorite part was when Adam expressed the pride he personally felt to see a gay man run for President, and to see Mayor Pete with his husband on the big stage. I also liked their discussion about diversity within the LGBTQ and the key role of black trans women in that movement. Diversity within the LGBTQ community is an issue Adam has always championed.

I have listened to Adam many times and Mayor Pete many times because I am fans of both, each exceptional in their own respective fields. My favorite part was right at the end when Adam pointed out how devastating the pandemic has been for entertainers and the many people that support the industry. The isolation for an industry that is about connection and all the many many people who work hard behind the scenes at all levels to bring that joy to everyone. We need that again. I hope Mayor Pete listened and took it to heart.

I do think Adam was nervous, and it showed - skilled interviewers make it look a lot easier than it actually is - but I also think that nervousness reflected how much the opportunity meant to him. I'm so happy he got that chance, and I suspect Mayor Pete would agree.
I see some hopes being expressed about a singing slot at a Biden/Harris inauguration, specifically for the National Anthem. I'll go out on a limb here and predict that in the event of a Biden/Harris victory, the Anthem singer will be a person of color (I'll further predict either John Legend or JHud, because apparently both are legally obligated to perform at every single prestigious, high-profile event). But I've been wrong before, and will undoubtedly be wrong again, so who knows. Hopefully we'll be in a position to find out in January.

I thought Adam did a great job considering this was not his day job. Did not find him all that nervous but a little off with the format. And who knows how much time he had to prepare? I don't think Neil would have done a better job as he seems more combative. I remember some harsh remarks he made against Obama when he got the Nobel Peace Prize because he did not advocate something Neil wanted. Adam kept it more light and listened as he should have. He was not there to challenge but to hear what they were offering. Lol at the Democrat hedge, at least he did not ask if he was a Socialist, lol.

Haha - that’s true, “Negative Neil.” Adam was, as always, a delight. I also liked his last question about what Pete was looking forward to when the covid nightmare is over - Pete’s answer was so poignant to me, just connecting with people - eating dinner out, strolling the street, sports ... concerts! Sounds like ... utopia.

Maybe it's not about politics of other countries but rather how politicised and politically interested one is? Idk It's a little hard to Imagine anyone would be deeply into their own countries politics and take absolutely no interest in the politics of other countries. We have become so interconnected globally. I'm quite politicised (not sure why exactly) so i was interested and knew very Well, who Major Pete is. He would have been third in line for me in the primary field. Lol Pete is so very specific and concrete in his answers, which i enjoy.
Have to agree that Adam seemed a tad nervous and i was irritated once or twice as well.

A general comment about Adam's slight awkwardness. He is very empathetic and interactive with people and has a strong desire to look them in the eye. Although Adam has been doing online interviews, he has not done near as many as Pete and so Pete is more comfortable with the set up. Pete knows how to position his face so that he appears to be interacting with you and with the interviewer when in reality he may not be seeing Adam at all. Or Pete may even have a specially configured camera/monitor. I would not have thought of this had I not previously watched The Daily Show interview below. You only need to watch the first minute or so to see what I am talking about. This may be why Adam appeared so scattered. www.youtube.com/watch?v=3OC4CIfZ_1A&ab_channel=TheDailyShowwithTrevorNoah

I thought the two of them were charming.Yes, Adam was a bit shaky, but being an interviewer is not in his resume. There was probably a script, but Pete may have jumped the gun on some of the scripted agenda. (Explaining some of the overlap on military service, both being Dems) I'm involved in community association meetings, and it's not uncommon for us to do a script anymore, since people freeze on camera on simple things.

Pete was articulate, quite composed, honest and understanding. Adam was curious, energetic, truthful, and honored to be in Pete's company. I didn't 'feel' or see that Adam might have been nervous. He was inquisitive! Adam knew that his comments and questions were important to Pete - as well as to himself, and his friends, fans, and followers. Attention must be paid to the LGBTQ community and BLM as we move forward in this election, and in life.
