I have always thought Adam looked a lot like Elvis. I would love to see him cast in a small part as Elvis. But in a movie about someone else who comes into contact with Elvis. But not as a lead in an Elvis Biopic. The bi**hing would be unbearable, lol. It was pretty funny the way some in the press would ask why Adam didn't play Freddie in BR. Some were already having a meltdown because he joined Queen. Besides there is a difference in playing the role of Freddie Mercury in a movie and being Adam Lambert fronting Queen. Being in a band is not acting. But I guess the new rule is if the role involves some singing it is not an acting role anyway. HAHA. ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— I must confess the if you are singing, you cannot also be considered an actor in said show/series makes less than no sense to me. Somebody might need to track down at least the main surviving cast-members of Glee and if they think they were actors, disabuse them of this notion. LOL However, there could indeed be guidelines that I am unaware of. I am too young to remember, nor did I ever pick up on the Elvis phenomenon. I mean I know he was big, but could the backlash really be bigger than with Freddie? If there were to be a big backlash, that might make Adam the most uniquely qualified person around to play him! Freddie is everywhere. A few weeks ago, some people—or maybe two or three with more than one account—got on some Aerosmith thread and started the usual Freddie is a God arguments. At the time, a few people engaged, and then the Aerosmith fans‘ attention was grabbed by something else, so they wandered off. But about a week ago, these Freddie people were back, this time on a much larger thread, and this time when they started, Aerosmith fans swarmed. That was the beginning and end of that. But poor Adam still has to face so much with Freddie. Anyway (and I could have dreamed I read this) wasn’t there something posted about Adam being older than they wanted?

Anyway (and I could have dreamed I read this) wasn’t there something posted about Adam being older than they wanted?Adam was older than the five or so guys who were in the running to play Elvis but Adam was never in consideration anyway. I think it was some fans (and some media types throwing out his name) who thought he would be a good fit. And Adam made some off hand comment that he would be interested. But he was not passed over for the role, for any reason, as he was never mentioned by the people in charge of the movie. But I agree they were going to start with a younger Elvis. Harry Styles was one who was screen tested but the role went to some guy I'm not familiar with. And if Harry had been hired for that role, it would have been an acting role even with the singing. Jennifer Hudson is playing Aretha Franklin and it is an acting role. She won an Oscar for Dreamgirls, another acting role with singing. Beyonce played Etta James in that movie. Even if your singing made them interested, and is required for the part, you are still acting in the role for pity's sake, lol. I don't think Rami got much backlash for playing Freddie but the Freddie fans would have gone BSC if Adam had been in the running. He would have been accused of trying to take over Freddie's whole life, lol. But Adam never seemed interested anyway. I think fronting Queen was smartly as far as he wanted to go with that.
