This is a very cute video that shows Adam's influence on young Asian pop stars. They all say very nice things about him and there are some snippets of a few covers. (Usually I don't like when other singers cover Adam's songs, 'cause they can't really touch his vocals, but I kinda enjoyed a rock cover of "If I Had You", and the other ones weren't too bad.) www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7938IOV1Lo&feature=youtu.be

from the Eli Lieb interview: There have been rumors you’re collaborating with Adam Lambert. Any truth to that? Yeah! I don’t know what I can really say, but we’ve definitely had some studio time together. Adam is, honestly, one of the most genuine people I’ve met in my whole time being in L.A. He’s just a rare person. He is so talented, but as a person, he’s very kind, generous, humble and down-to-earth. Read more: adamtopia.com/thread/2470/31-14-adam-news-info?page=7#ixzz396BAfqoi

"And finally: Will Adam do Freddie justice? Yes. Unequivocally yes. Is he Freddie? No he’s not. He doesn’t have to be and he didn’t try to be. He’s Adam Lambert and he’s a perfect fit. He’s flamboyant, charismatic, deliciously sexy and funny. His voice has to be heard to be believed. Range to burn, rich tone and I believed every word he sang. Apart from Freddie I can think of no one else who could pull off ‘Killer Queen’ draped over a chez lounge with a bottle of Moet in one hand and wearing six inch heels. He has a deep understanding of the theatrical and a deep respect for the music. And above all he has fun." Brian May: "Of course, Adam - I can't even start with Adam. He's such a gift from God. My God! It's um--- He's extraordinary. And I think he's made us young again, in a sense. This is very much a rebirth and totally in the style to which we are accustomed."

Queen rock you with tribute to Freddie MercuryMegan Mackander | 2nd Sep 2014 2:46 PM Brisbane Excerpt:A phenomenal performer in his own right, Lambert rose to the challenge to deliver an unforgettable Queen show. ...... The spotlight is back on Lambert with his rendition of Who Wants to Live Forever, standing under the lights of a disco ball. It's a definite highlight of the show. I'm yet to ever witness or feeling a powerful voice like this before, stunning. READ More

From an interview with Randy Bachman from Bachman-Turner Overdrive and The Guess Who. Songfacts: You just mentioned the show American Idol. And I always think it's funny that probably the greatest singer that it has spawned, Adam Lambert, didn't even win his season - he came in second place [to Kris Allen]. Since its first season in 2002, American Idol has become an incredibly popular television show in America. However, while a few of the contestants and/or winners have gone on to build their own successful careers (Lambert, Chris Daughtry, Jennifer Hudson, Jordin Sparks), for the majority, success on the show does not translate to sustained chart success. But the question remains... why hasn't this gentleman gone on to great things? Randy: I know. And I just saw him with Queen twice and he's amazing. He's the new Freddie Mercury. I know Brian May real well and Roger Taylor, and they are just so energized by having Adam there. Their show was fantastic. I saw their second show of the tour in Winnipeg. They did Chicago then Winnipeg, and I just saw them in Toronto about three weeks ago. They are just amazing. www.songfacts.com/blog/interviews/randy_bachman
