They sounded really good together...really good blend.
Re SS, don't get the appeal either, voice or sex appeal.

Guess Adam can afford his 8,900.00 US coat, with number 1 hit sales pending! Holy Moly ....that is a real treat to himself 😀😆😊.
Exposure with the duet ...quality vocalists--- just happy to see these charitable foundations choosing Adam.

The People TV Youtube channel for Virtual Carousel of Hope Ball never seemed to have more than 1500 people watching - so I hope they managed to meet their fundraising goal. Lots of venerable, old performers - with the emphasis on old (plus lots of plastic surgery on display), so obviously the young voices gave the better performances. Josh Grobin still sounds very good but as far as Sam S. goes - I've never understood the appeal. I know he tops the charts, but dang - there's zero sex appeal, a voice that's OK, but not unique or special, and all he ever seems to do is ballads. Anyway, for me, Adam stood out in every way and he's always the perfect duet partner. He doesn't oversing, overshadow or try to outdo his partner with OTT vocal embellishments- though we know he could. Agree. SS is just okay to me and I feel the same way about J. Legend. But SS probably needs to stick with the ballads. The last time I saw him on stage performing with a bunch of dancers it was painful. Now I generally tire of artists who can't seem to put on a good show without dancers but that is a trend he does not need to follow, lol. I hope he never thinks about doing rock. HA. But he is popular and tops the charts because he gets a ton of radio play (at least in the US and with major support from his label). US radio can make a big deal out of anyone they want and they can stifle anyone they want. Katy Perry once got massive radio and everything went to the top of the charts. Now not so much and she struggles with the hits.

That duet of "I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)" is fantastic, and I love the visuals they put together. It's like an actual music video!! So fun, definitely some nods to the original video, with the different screens and then putting some footage from the original video as well near the end in the background on one of those TVs. I love the whole thing and I really do hope that Cynthia and Adam get to release this song together, it would be amazing! Or at least, perform it live together on stage! Still, this is wonderful, given the situation where it was all done separately and then put together. Whoever produced their vocals and the whole thing really did an amazing job. It sounds so seamless like an actual record.
