awww, thank you for this, heathers! The youtubes were sweet!! I don't think dancing around the tree is a tradition in North America... at least I've never heard of it. I know that many (most?) European countries open presents etc on Christmas Eve, but what does everyone do on Christmas Day? Go to church and eat leftovers? [/quote] ... I think I've messed up the quote - well, that's what you get for not posting often enough Some people go to see another part of their family for traditional Christmas lunch, which has a lot of traditional, Danish dishes (herring for starters, then different types of fish/eel and meat - we're big meat eaters in Denmark - mainly because of all the pork which we also export, and then cheese to finish), some cold and some warm, but all served as "open sandwiches" - smørrebrød. And that continues on Boxing day and sometimes day three - by that time, you're stuffed with so much food you can hardly move! For my family christmas day has always been a lazy day - looking at presents and then having a traditional lunch, watching a film on tv and for dinner leftovers from the day before. But I have Catholic friends who go to mass - I don't know any Lutheran/protestant people who go to church.

Your Christmas Day sounds a lot like our Boxing Day (visiting with family and EATING), except over here, on Dec.26th, SO MANY PEOPLE rush out to hit the massive Boxing Day sales. :-/ I've never done it, but the 26th is one of the biggest shopping days of the year. Go figure.

When we caught up with the infamous playwright following our Nov. 17 Out 100 gala, Busch was smitten with one celebrity in particular: Adam Lambert. “I met the peerless Adam. That was my whole goal of the evening,” Busch said. “It¢s easy for me to sit back and complain that there¢s no one to replace all the greats, the stars that have passed. But when I saw Adam Lambert, I was so excited about it. He¢s openly gay and sexy. It¢s outrageous!” more....
