there must be a reason why he has career as a singer not as an actor Because he IS a singer and that is his main career. Where have you been and how hard it that to understand? But he has received good reviews for the small parts he has had. That matters more than sniping from the sidelines from the same naysayers with no clout. He would have no career if anyone listened or cared what trolls think. wow ‘ he is a singer’ - no shit. Award of the year for the best comment goes to you;)

But isn't it great that Adam is being given opportunities to expand? I think that is what most entertainers want and strive for. So it is all good for Adam. Hopefully it will lead to more chances for him.

Adam IS an ACTOR! He was so natural and comfortable in the character he was portraying. He didn't overact which happens with so many people who have less experience on the big screen. He delivered his lines clearly and believably with the right amount of expression - for surprise, camaraderie, hidden disdain. The role wasn't comedic or dramatic. He sold me on Billy.
I would love to see more acting roles for Adam!

Wow! Can Adam do anything without it being picked apart? I haven't even seen Moonbase yet but here we go. I'll try to pull it up today and hopefully enjoy it. But if he did a good job with the project he was given that should matter more than if put in a groundbreaking performance. Did anyone really expect he would do that this early in his acting career? there must be a reason why he has career as a singer not as an actor OUCH... IMHO,He was as good as all the other actors ,maybe better..Adam is not only a singer but also a trained actor..Oh I recognize the critic, and now I understand the critique.moving on

Award of the year for the best comment goes to you;) I'm genuinely curious about what type of answer you were expecting to that question. Maybe it was rhetorical and you weren't expecting an answer at al. In any event, he's primarily a singer because he made a conscious decision to emphasize music and perform as himself instead of a character. He's primarily a singer because he loves to sing. He's primarily a singer because he's extraordinarily gifted at it. He's primarily a singer because he has said he is a stronger singer than actor. Take your pick. In the words of our soon-to-be-ex-President, "It is what it is," and none of it is a secret to anyone who has followed his career at all closely.

IMO Adam has a wonderful natural gift as an actor. He also has great comedic timing. However I don’t think he has acting training where he could, yet, become another character very different from himself. That comes with good coaching, great technique and practice. A good director doesn’t hurt either. I think Adam knows this so doing roles where he can play characters closer to himself gives him confidence. It’s all a process. Also he’s so damn charming to watch and that really works in his favor.

I sat down and watched episodes 1-4. This show was just as I expected. A goofball comedy, loosely scripted, full of sight gags. wacky premise, the works. I have always liked Reilly and Armison and I still do. Adam's role was very small and he didn't have a lot of lines. But I liked what he did. This wasn't supposed to be a comic role. He was pretty much himself. Good conversational dialogue, well-delivered. He did a good job. And of course he looked gorgeous. His character doesn't seem like it will "come back" in future seasons unless they change the plot line. Who knows if the show will last?
I thoroughly enjoyed watched Adam! The show is now on his resume and that's good. I think he CAN act, certainly as well as many other actors I've seen. I think there is a role for him out there, yet to be written, that will show that he does have natural acting ability. Experience helps. He's done theater, but that's different. Hope he keeps getting chances to act here and there.
Moonbase 8 is a lightweight, goofy comedy, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching Adam it, even for a few minutes.
