Even though I said Adam wouldn't be happy about those pap pics and has taken care over the years to avoid being seen in public shirtless, I want to point out that in no way do I feel he should be embarrassed of his body - he looks awesome. And I also confess that though I know he probably would choose not to have those out there, I have looked at each picture more than once. He looks joyful and normal and happy. I don't know or care what this relationship is for Adam, but he deserves a bit of fun.
I would love to be frolicking in a warm surf myself, and if it could be with a playmate, all the better - not gonna happen though lol.

If Adam is happy with the way he looks he does not need to defend it. He said he had put on covid weight so I feel bad for him that he has to address it to others. Celebrities can expect there are always those lurking to get pictures so I doubt this was a surprise to Adam. Hopefully it will not blow up into a big deal. Fun should not turn into stress. I was never one who was interested in seeing him without his clothes anyway. For those who wanted it, you have it. When he is ready to get into working shape (I'm sure he will need to for a strenuous QAL tour) he will. But I hope there is not too much attention brought about of these vacation pictures. A number of celebrities have been bashed for their vacations. With so many forced to abide by travel restrictions because of the virus, some have said they are getting special treatment and are tone deaf. Even the Idol winner from last year, who came down with covid, received little sympathy when vacation pictures of him and his girlfriend surfaced. There was a lot of finger wagging. He has recovered but his voice sounds a bit shaky. Another singer was denied his SNL performance when pictures of him partying came to light. They said he was being reckless so he was cancelled. I don't care about Adam's relationship or friends or who he has fun with but I don't want to see him get any negative feedback. And I just want him to be safe. A vaccine is in reach so now is not the time for anyone to let down their guard. And I mean that in general so not implying that Adam has been uncareful.

I haven't looked online to see the fan reactions to those photos, for any number of reasons, but Adam certainly doesn't have anything to be embarrassed about IMO. Whether he agrees or not, I don't know - I could imagine him coming down on either side of that particular fence - so I'm not about to try to "fansplain" how he feels right now. I will say I doubt he didn't anticipate something like that could happen, as a celebrity at a current vacation hotspot, and it looks as if he wasn't about to let it ruin his good time. I hope that's still the case now that the photos are out there.
I don't know how much weight Adam actually put on during the Covid quarantine, but his weight was up somewhat even before that. It's a curse, and he'd have to be hyper-vigilant all the time to avoid it, which he apparently isn't interested in doing. He had that period when he was working with a trainer - during the 2014 tour, I think - when he was at his "goal weight" - and it sounded like he was really being put through his paces. For whatever reason, he couldn't or didn't want to keep working out at that level. As long as he has the stamina and breath control to perform at the level he needs to during those strenuous concerts, and he's able to find clothing both onstage and off that is flattering and suitable for whatever image he's trying to portray, I don't see that changing. He'll do his hiking, and whatever else he does, and be more concerned about his health than his physique. Fortunately he never traded on flashing a lot of skin as part of his marketing and image.

The reaction of fans towards Adam is mostly very positive. They are happy for him.
Some put a lot of emphasis on telling him, that he looks beautiful though. Which isn’t wrong, but I think it can come over wrongly, if you tell him that directly. It shouldn’t be necessary and sounds weird. I think that’s the reason, why he posted the stories: that he loves his „dad body“ and his happy. There had been countless tweets addressed directly at him, by fans telling him, how bad they felt for him, that his privacy had been invaded.
I‘m much more concerns all that fighting among fans on Twitter and IG. There are a lot of longtime fans going around and telling everyone, that they should delete the pics and if they don’t do it, they aren‘t real fans or are bound to get blocked.Gelly got a lot of criticism for quoting that article and bringing it to our attention..
In my opinion, we (=all Adam fans in general) should all relax and behave like grown-ups should do. Adam is an adult. A celebrity. It comes with the territory that paparazzi take his pictures. It’s not our job to protect him from that. We don’t even know, how he really feels about these pics.
When we like pics of him and think they are fine to repost, we should be free and allowed to do so. Some fans should start to respect the opinions of fellow fans and stop acting as if they were better fans than others. Currently the censorship by some fellow fans is really unattractive and in my opinion unacceptable.
I haven’t seen mean posts, just happy ones. Everyone should feel free to decide to post or enjoy these pics or not. I‘m sick of being told to be a bad fan, just because I’m happy for Adam and his new love and because I like to look at these pics. There is nothing to hide.
Now I will step down from my soap box. Sorry, if that doesn’t concern you personally, but I had to get that out. 😊
