I just got an iPad and it won't show this YT. The play button has a slash thru it. Anyone familiar with iPad, can u explain what's up with that? Also, there is an app for pro boards. They want me to buy it. Why should I? Would that fix the YT problem? What is the advantage of using the app instead of just going to the web site? I am obviously a total tech idiot. Thanks in advance. When you get the arrow with the slash through it, it means the video has not been enabled for mobile. It person who uploaded it likely did not check on one box and they may not even realize. iPad and smartphones are all considered mobile devices. Sometimes it takes just a small tweet or message to let the person know they haven't enabled it for mobile. I don't use the ProBoards app. I have it, but IMO, it's not necessary. It's supposed to be a little faster, but it cuts out all the nuance. When I go on Safari on my iPad (or iPhone), I see the forum exactly how it looks on my computer. iPad is particularly cool because you can blow up the size with a quick finger spread. So you can enlarge when you want to and keep it at your standard size when you don't. Reading Atop on my iPad is very fast for me. Faster than my computer, even. However, I can't type as fast on the iPad, so I usually go on computer to post. |

You're a big fan of F1? Me too.. That year's a big year for me knowing that Schummy and Adam Lambert at the same place, F1 Singapore. I would never dreamed about it but it happened.. We are probably going to have F1 racing here in Austin next year. I say probably because there are problems with the financing which need to be resolved in the next week. I think it would be fun. Now we have two fandoms in common 2011 F1 season was a painful year for me. You know Robert Kubica, et cetera. lindag23 Bernie Ecclestone will do everything he can to make this race happen. He is stubborn as a mule and he doesn't care about anything but money. |
