This George Michael film sounds like the Freddie drama all over again. Some want to celebrate a life and accomplishments and others want to take it more in a different direction. And not sure having ex-boyfriends/lovers involved is ever going to have a good outcome. I know the Liberace film (from an ex-boyfriends point of view) won many accolades but I pretty much hated it and had to force myself to watch the whole thing. Not knowing that much about LB, I wanted to know who he was and how he came to reach that level of success, during a time when things could not have been easy. I only learned a lot about his sex life and him taking advantage of much younger, needy and unaccomplished young men. Or them preying on and using him. It was sad, imo. I enjoyed BoRap so much more and glad that Queen did it their way.
