Seems pretty squeeworthy to me! This is as explicit as we've seen Brian or Roger get about the idea of future occasion-specific collabs. I get that Adams own music--creation, promotion, performance--is of course his priority. But it's just occurred to me that this kind of standing relationship with Queen would be a terrific way for Adam to satisfy the undeniably significant classic rock fan portion of his fan base (who insist that this kind of music is what his voice was made for) while still allowing him to have his own music be current, and forward-thinking, with the kind of pop and electronic sound that Adam is most interested in. With FYE Adam said he wanted to stay true to that rock sound because the fans loved it, but also wanted the more modern sound and production that he was artistically drawn to--the resulting compromise was not always successful. This is a much much better solution to the dilemma. Queen is one of the only bands (perhaps the only band) out there big enough and still respected and beloved enough for this to remain a honored gig for Adam rather than some sort of role-playing demotion from his own work. (of course we're talking very occasional appearances here.). And there's no denying how well both their performing style and social history mesh. What a great way for Adam to continue getting his rock on without having his own work sound dated or like an uncomfortable compromise! So squee! There. I agree this is a great idea and maybe not too far-fetched?? When Adam's name was not mentioned in the intro to the EMA performance at first I was kind of mystified; second I thought how classy of Adam to honor Queen by not having his name mentioned since it was Queen that was being honored after all; third I thought how cool of Queen and kind of an honor for Adam to make it seem like he was a member of Queen, not separate, and I don't think they've done that with anyone else; fourth I thought OMG maybe they did it that way because there are plans for him to in some way be part of Queen in future (hopefully in a scenario just like what MWP outlined). We can hope!!  I like these thoughts too! Could work if the parties involved wanted it too... |

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's truly remarkable speech... "Gay rights are human rights, and human rights are gay rights." It's worth your time. Video: It is long but I watched a clip on TV. Where are the pictures of Sauli coming from. Who is putting them out for us to see? And where are they getting them? The pics, like this one are from Sauli's private fb. We can see his profile pic there, nothing else important. He has left it this way so non-friends can also see his profile pic. |

Maybe I am on the wrong page. However, don't worry, they are not hacked pics. Sauli is tweeting them. I just do not see them on his Wall or Profile pics on his Facebook.
