Don’t worry - knowing how much he loves change I’m sure the current “let me look like a parody of myself” stage will pass too. I think he's trying to keep everyone paying attention! And keep himself going during the pandemic. Glad he's doing something. I'm sure I sound like a broken record but I can't wait to see what he's working on and I really hope he does something for the one year anniversary of Velvet! I love the re-assurance from the both of you that in the end it will be alright nica575 , you couldn't have said it better

I couldn't help but feel very nostalgic when I saw the old photos of Adam in yesterday's thread. I miss that time and I am not sure if we get to see that side of Adam ever again.
I think and hope we will. I think he is doing a lot of LGBT things and thinks that is needed but don't know why. But my guess is if he wants the Elvis specials, Kennedy Center, CMT, GMA and all the great opportunities he was getting before the pandemic, we will see less of these looks and more of the handsome and sexy devil. The look was great for the Halloween special for Bette but haven't really enjoyed it since so I tend to scroll as I did during the wig wearing phase. I'm probably missing some good interviews but I trust the comments of note will be posted anyway, lol. He didn't seem to get as much traction with Bowie as I had hoped. Most of the articles I saw talked about everyone but him and that was surprising. When he did Bowie for the Clive Davis party they could not stop praising him. But there was a lot of talk about his performance for the holiday special with Seacrest so that was great. And he looked wonderful for that tv performance. I really want to see/hear them talking about him and not so much makeup. I think Adam is trying to expand his LGBTQ fan base by embracing his androgynous side more and may be by "owning" who he really is. On the other hand, I agree with you that he will likely get the high profile gigs back with a more "sanitized for mainstream" look. We'll see which path Adam's career will take post pandemic and how much his look and image will change. Most of all, I would really love new music from him to be talked about again. "Velvet" deserved more. Regarding the Bowie tribute, I honestly didn't watch it and I only watched Adam's performance partially, but from what I was told he was the most "out there" amongst all the performers. It looks like Adam was only interpreting Bowie his way, though he seems to connect less with a "more is more" approach. I really liked his "Starman" performance during his birthday concert. A definite highlight of the show for me.

This is cool. He has a song with a billion views on it, not this one unfortunately, but a very cool sample to use an Adam song. Did Adam ever tweet about him?

Wasn't Bowie, like Freddie, known for his OTT getups though? Not a Bowie fan, but I thought he was one of the originals of OTT and out there. So a three-piece suit wouldn't seem fitting for a Bowie tribute, I would think. YES very true but not everything at once look.. ya know more is more Other than the album covers, which radio listeners never saw, most people wouldn't have seen outfits. With some people the over matching on true to life outfit makeup etc would be the lead but of course Adam brings the vocals too. Idol was something where he could throw surprises like the stripped down version for tracks of my tears. These one time events don't give him chance to change it up.
