testing new avi here....
I think maybe Adam's twitter request to see real faces attached to tweets has a couple of different dimensions.
One, as he stated, he wants fans to celebrate themselves, not him.
Two, it's market research, he can literally "see" who his fans are, and who responds to what.
Three, some of the boundary crossing and craziness online are enabled by hidden identities. Most peeps will be more careful of what they tweet too or about him with their real face attached. Also tweets to radio stations, journalists, etc. are likely to be taken more seriously by both the sender and recipient.
Four, everyone stans in their own way, but artists who rely heavily on word of mouth to grow their fanbase obviously benefit from fans who publicly claim them and casually share their music in their real lifes, not just within a bubble (such as idol or a fandom). For me this has meant being discrete about the intensity of my stanning/time spent, but not being afraid to casually gift a CD or play an album in my studio, or post a video on my RL facebook from time to time.
Of course everyone is in a unique situation with regards to work and family and Adam is no expert on online security and safety. But it is heartwarming to see how he encourages people to be more courageous in little ways.

I think Adam might be at Elton John's Oscar Party if he goes to any parties. I was looking at the pictures from last year and saw that both Allison and Kris were there. Adam was in Australia at the time otherwise I bet he would have been there as well. There seems to be a wide range of people at the party.
From what I can figure out it looks like this party is during the the Oscars and Madonna's party starts after the show so maybe he can go to both.
Here's hoping we see him at one of them.

This has always been one of my favorite videos of DTRH from Fantasy Springs. It shows off Adam's assets so nicely. I always thought this video set a precedent for fan behavior at Adam's concerts. When girl ran on stage - Adam - minimal reaction Security-casual stroll out, lead her off stage Audience - little or no reaction. It was a bit like telling a joke and no one laughs. Who wants to be put in that same position knowing Adam's fans are not amused by disruptions during Adam's performances? I totally forgot about the girl. All I remember, when I think of this video is Adam. :-/

Can someone please give me a link on ALF where Adam wants to find out about us??? I've been trying for half an hour now to find the place and i cant. NVM FOUND IT.. I answered the ALF questions but I do not think that Adam came up with that. I get the feeling he is not that involved with a lot of what goes on on ALF. Like I do not think he saw that 29.29.29 T-Shirt. I am one of the few fans that like it but it just doesn't look like something Adam was involved with -- same for some of the other merchandise. I wish Adam had a better merchandise planner/designer on this stuff. (I spent too many years in retail not to know that they could do so much better -- even at the current prices with big margins and royalties.)

I can see how people might be hesitant or uncomfortable about having their own picture up on twitter, if that's the case then a picture of something you find meaningful in some way, or even just funny is a good compromise. And you can fill your Adam picture needs with an icon of him here instead. As much as I love seeing Adam's pretty face, checking Adam's @replies and seeing more clearly that it is made up of individuals, real and many distinctly different people, is pretty powerful.

I returned to my boring Avi. I had considered using this one -- perhaps I will use it on another site as my Avi. And some posters at MJs find my Egyptian Princess avi frightening. They would love this one. Think I will need to create a glitterier avi for here -- but I will retain the lasers.
