I love David Cook but putting him before Fantasia is just wrong (if they are talking about singing!) But then after Adam the list gets really weird because Constantine is ranked so high! Huh?! The list is from 2010 and a newer list would probably have a few changes. |

fanart: in general i'm not so much a fan, but not really for technical reasons with execution. More because there is a standardization of approach/stylization that you often see on deviant art and similar sites that I think actually can limit the creativity and development of young artists; and if they are interested seriously in either commercial or contemporary fine art, kind of leads them more away from those worlds than closer to them. (For example, art schools usually won't accept a drawing or painting based on a commercial photo as an portfolio item.) If you are just drawing for fun, no big, but if you are really passionate about art, why assume early on that it will always be just for fun? I'm happy to give my two cents on how to build technical skills and develop as a professional visual artist without shelling out big bucks (because that's basically been my path) if anyone wants to PM me. Adam connection -- he's kind of an awesome example of this kind of non-traditional career path as well, figuring out and piecing together musical education, opportunities, and artistic development with limited funds. You could contrast this with Jesse J, Adele, or Leona Lewis who all went to the BRIT school for performing arts and technology for example. Well, for me deviantart was very helpful. Now I only use it as my portfolio for personal work, but at the beginning it was big eye opener. It show me what I need to learn technically, how to manage my career as an artist (more experienced artists was very helpful), that art is not some dream world but hard reality and tears sometimes. You just need to find things on deviantart (like everywhere else) that are worth of your time and attention. It was, and still is, a good experience for me. |

One was neat - Within two hrs of the party, the door opens and Carolers dressed in Victorians outfits, came a caroling in the house. Such beautiful voices. It added a nice touch to the party. Adam related??? I wish we could rent out Adam to sing at a home party (He'd have to charge reasonable price to sing though LOL) Another side note today. My girlfriend called me to say her husband heard on the radio station here in Phila the DJ's were discussing Adam and the possibility of fronting for Queen. Point being, they are giving Adam praise. Yea. PS I've lost sense of time. when is the next anticipated single release date? This Friday???? |

Just read Adam is going to Shanghai ... Those dates are not a lovely time to be going through the Shanghai airport.... But maybe he is VIP .so he will be fine... Well China is a strong economy... it's a good move to strengthen his market position in China and Asia... Coca Cola's 2nd quarter porfits jumped about 18% due to increase in sales in China and Asia. And sales in China jumped 24%, but Coca Cola , posted No growth in North America. So there you go... off to Shanghai then... He's doing a private event for Japanes Amway people though, so I don't think this trip will be to break into the Chinese market. Strange to do an event for the Japanese Amway in Shanghai. If Adam is there for Amway China, that is still good. Amway makes sales close to US 3 Billion now in China and has about 10,000 employees, if you add the associates who network, they can bring in about 30,000 people at least if that is a Convention. This is still good, as the word will spread. Most of the associates and customers of Amway are the young professionals with their new experience of disposable income. If they give out GNT DVD to each of their employees and associates , that would be terrific ! I wonder if this is what the talk was about, for Adam to sing a Christmas song.... but .. there is no Christmas in China only in hotels or places where expats stay. |

So there's not much going on and I am feeling nostalgic for the passing of the FYI era. I am wondering what everybody's favorite songs/performances are. It's a hard question for me since songs I once thought I didn't care much for have become favorites. But:
