@jessierichie194: Who is @adamlambert ? Well he is lots of things, he is a leader, singer, actor, song writer, enterainer, goofy, LGBTQ+ speaker/advocate, he sings for the legendary rock band Queen! There are many sides to this man, and every side is beautiful and amazing, he is very much loved❤️ twitter.com/jessierichie194/status/1382503459904122883/photo/1

Just wondering if there are any Bachelor fans here. I keep track of it and tune in at certain times. I see that today's headlines are about a former bachelor from a few seasons ago who has come out as gay. As a former football player and Roman Catholic, he has been denying it for a long time. He is sorry that he has hurt other people along the way. When I read stories like this, I think of Adam's journey. It hasn't been easy, but at least he entered adulthood with the truth and support from his family.

I've never watched the show, but why would you go on a show where the specific purpose is to find a "wife" (scripted or otherwise), when you know you're gay? I get that you're afraid to come out, for various reasons, but nobody is forcing you to be a part of that particular show. It's not like going on American Idol or any other talent show.

I think he was in deep denial. His season focused on the fact he was a virgin. He says he did fall in love with a woman on the show, but that relationship didn’t work out. Obviously, it is a certain type of person goes on The Bachelor. I think he is now working on a Netflix show about coming out as gay. Things are different from when Adam was on American Idol!

Yep it is a little strange. That guy said he knew since he was a kid but I guess he hoped to change things or fool himself or others. But you are right, a dating show is nothing like going on a talent show like Idol. They were trying to win a recording contract not a wife or husband. It should not matter what your sexuality is or who knows when you are trying to win a singing contest. So not like looking to find a wife on a dating show when you are a gay man.
